Feast your eyes and ears on this well thought out and well executed build! This project was just recently completed by the current owner! The Ford Ruby Red was sprayed with 3 coats of color and 4-5 coats of clear to create deep glossy finish that's evident to the naked eye, pictures do not do this paint enough justice. With few creature comforts, let us focus on the behemoth beneath the bonnet, we know the pictures show 427 cubic inch valve covers, but that's just because he couldn't find ones that he liked that said 428. This 428 is balanced and blueprinted and wearing adornments like an Edelbrock Intake, Holly Demon carburetor, long tube headers, MSD ignition and an aluminum radiator. The 428 V8 has been built to the highest level by a renowned Race engine builder, block has been polished inside and out. Dyno results were reported to us as being upwards of 500 horsepower. Stopping comes by way of 4 wheel disc brakes, slotted and drilled rotors and a Wilwood master cylinder. A Tremec 5 speed manual transmission connects you to the feel of the engine and the road beneath you for a very analog, mechanical feeling, just like you'd expect from a high powered roadster. It has a serpentine belt system. Polished billet reservoirs for the brake and clutch master cylinders. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and electric fan. The anniversary edition comes with white powder coated engine bay panels like the original. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside is completely lined in carpet and has a fire extinguisher. UNDERSIDE: It still looks new under this car! Obviously meticulously assembled and cared for. The powder coated frame uses 4 inch round rails like the original. It has Independent suspension, front and back. It uses Koni double adjustable coil over shocks and swaybars, front and back. KRC power steering and Unisteer rack & pinion. Wilwood brake kit with huge 13 inch drilled and slotted rotors, 6 piston calipers in front and an e-brake assembly. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity anodized oil pan and a high torque starter. Tremec TKO 600 5-speed, Ford Performance billet steel flywheel and hydraulic clutch. The rear end is a Mustang GT 8.8 with 3.31 posi gears. SERVICE: This one flew through service with flying colors. All we did was lower the idle a tad and tightened the dipstick holder. This is one of the best Cobras I\'ve seen. Great looks, high quality build and loaded with options. Very few have a functional top and power steering. That\'s what gets us excited about this 1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five Mark III. You have a stroker V8, five-speed, four-wheel disc brakes, and sports suspension to give you the proper Cobra feel. But you\'ll also spot the right individual style inside and out for added distinction. Laser Red paint gets this roadster noticed. The bold paint has vividness that makes this sunshine-friendly roadster glow in the Sunday sunlight. And the iconic racing stripes are done in a metallic gray for added distinction. The whole package was completed in 2007 and about 11k miles ago. While that already makes this one young, what makes this even fresher is its level of care. This has only been with its builder this far, and so when you take the time to make it, you treat it right. This has the classic race-ready details, like the quick-jack bumpers and a terrific set of polished side pipes. But you\'ll also notice some details that make it more pleasant for added usefulness. For example, the dual roll hoops are nicer for having a passenger. Plus, the Bullet-style wheels not only look cool, but the larger 17-inch size also lets you fit better modern tires. Inside is more of the correct Cobra style with the low-back racing bucket seats, full Simpson racing harnesses, the gearstick angled forward, mounted fire extinguisher, and an open-air cockpit that lets you really hear the side pipes roar. But they also took the time to give you some more thoughtful details, like a beautiful real African wood dash and the matching console with cup holders. And even with these distinct upgrades, you still get the dash dominated by proper readouts -- including the Shelby-correct reversed speedometer. Under the hood is a clean and mean presentation. The car may have under 12k miles on it, but the motor is even fresher with only about 5k miles. This started as a hardy 302 cubic inch V8 and then was stroked to 347ci total. It has been enhanced and fortified with a hydraulic roller cam, roller rockers, aluminum heads, a forged steel crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods, and forged pistons with a 10:1 compression. It inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake. It exhales with added power and as ceramic-coated headers feed the rumbling side pipes. There are also good supporting components, like the remote oil filter, newer wiring, MSD ignition system, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. This is a strong-running package, and you take full control with the Borg Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission. Plus, you have a strong steel frame, tubular A-arm front end, a reinforced four-link rear, adjustable coilovers at each wheel, four-wheel disc brakes, and ZR-rated performance tires. It all makes for a well-done high-performance package. Complete with service manuals, this is the iconic-looking Cobra with extra features and awesome V8 power.
