This European-specification 1990 911 Carrera 4 was originally a French market car that was imported to the United States in 2023The elegant, classic 964 shape is finished in Forest Green and is in remarkable condition and shows just 79,983 km (49,671 miles) at the time of cataloging. As a European market example, this car is fitted with the Euro-spec headlights, and unlike nearly every US-spec 964, is not fitted with a sunroof, which has become a very desirable specification for collectors. Producing 247 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque, this engine sends power through a 5-speed G50 transaxle to all 4 wheels utilizing the first all wheel drive system put into a 911. Taking inspiration from the 959 supercar, the 964 Carrera 4 has a simplified version of the same system which uses computer controlled clutches to distribute power to all 4 wheels. In most driving situations, the power distribution is 31% front/69% rear with a center differential inside the gearbox which sends power to the front wheels, as well as the rear. In this period, this system was lauded for its ability to offer sure footed performance in all weather situations, and put many driver's fear of a 911 spinning at the limit, to rest. When this 964 landed in the US, the previous owner carried out a number of maintenance jobs to make the car as good as it could be. Between 2020 and 2021, a major mechanical overhaul which included another engine rebuild with new CP Carrillo rods, rebuilt turbochargers, fuel injectors, valve springs, bearings, and more. This 993 Turbo was acquired by the seller from its long-term previous owner. This 993 features Turbo-specific bodywork with wide fenders, large front air intakes, and a body-colored rear spoiler. It came factory-finished in Black Metallic (Z8) and rides on black-painted 18â 911 Turbo wheels. The seller notes an additional set of three-piece wheels is included with the sale. Other equipment includes optional polished stainless-steel exhaust tips, red brake calipers, Litronic bi-xenon headlamps, front fog lights, clear European-style turn signals, tinted windows, a sunroof, and a rear window wiper. Inside, this 993 is appointed with Black leather upholstery including power-operated comfort seats with Porsche-crested headrests.
