This open cab roadster version of the venerable 1929 Ford Model A roadster pickup that has been carefully restored is now gracing our overstuffed Hallowed Halls and on consignment waiting for you.Â As seen by the photos, the underside is as beautiful as the topside and virtually no stone was left unturned during the restoration.Â Very nice 2-tone paint, a rebuilt engine, a new top, LED lighting, a major upgrade to hydraulic brakes and mechanically sound, this multiple 100+ mile journey truck is a show stopper! Exterior All panels and exterior surfaces are shown in very nice condition. The blacked out grille surround around the 3 year old radiator, chrome headlight buckets with LED lighting, blacked out twin bar front bumpers and lower mounted LED signal/running lights are all in pristine condition and accent the truck beautifully. Â A dark green body, with black fenders and running boards and 21-inch black painted wire wheel accents makes this truck look just stunning.Â Even the engine bay is very clean and has seen a lot of attention to detail.Â A new top has been installed in the last 4 years and shows in crisp clean black vinyl with a small glass rear window.Â Clean clear glass is noted for the nearly vertical tilt out windshield and wind wing glass has been put on to help keep your hair from becoming mussed.Â The bed has some oak rails to heighten the cargo load space, and this is in combination with a wood lined bed with dark green steel dividers works together like peas and carrots. Â The bed sides are steel as is the gate with its exterior Ford badge in black.Â Black painted undulating fenders frame the cowled hood and bed and are connected in the centers by textured grip steel running boards.Â An additional spare tire is mounted within the drivers side fender also with a wire spoked wheel in black color.Â All of the tires are in 4.40-4.50 and like new. Interior Swinging the door reveals a black vinyl door panel to lead the way into the truck.Â I noted the lack of window cranks, but hey...it\'s a roadster!Â Once inside I perched my posterior upon a textured black vinyl bench seat complete with lap only seatbeltsÂ and took a moment to breathe things in. Â A single curved dash in full metal black and dark green painted jacket has the iconic Ford chromed mask style instrument cluster in the center.Â All instruments are working and look very clean.Â A large black bakelite steering wheel is fronting the dash.Â Rubber flooring in basic black is covering the floors and above is the underside of the manually lowerable top with its supporting stringers in nicely varnished oak. Drivetrain Under the twin cowled hood lies a pleasant surprise in the form of a rebuilt 4 years ago 40hp,Â 201ci I-4 cylinder L-head engine and three-speed sliding-gear manual transmission.Â This engine was rebuilt by Mike Etling and has a 1-barrel carburetor feeding the precise amounts of air and fossils.Â All are ready to roll condition with a 3.78 geared rear axle. Undercarriage Very clean black painted rust free structural steel and mechanicalsÂ These include transverse leaf springs in front and rear, and a major upgrade to hydraulic drum braking on all 4 corners with new wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder.Â Bring a mirror as all is looking very sharp for this underside. Drive-Ability Once one knows the tricks to starting a Model A it\'s a breeze, and I\'m well versed in this operation.Â This truck drives like a....well... truck!Â No power steering or power brakes
