FOR SALE: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro $79,000 USD

Chevrolet Camaro Manual

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Daytona Yellow Description: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute Yenko Chevrolet\'s history dates back to 1929, the year Frank Yenko opened a dealership for selling Durant cars.  After the Durant company ended in 1932, Yenko opened a Chevrolet dealership in Pennsylvania in Bentleyville in 1934.  In 1949, Yenko opened a second Chevrolet dealership in Canonsburg, nearby in the same state.  In 1957, Frank\'s son Don Yenko assumed ownership of the dealership.  Known for his modified Chevrolets, Don managed the dealership until 1982, at which time he sold the business.  In 1966, Don Yenko was impressed with the late model Chevrolet Corvair\'s handling, and decided to apply for SCCA approval of the Corsa model for racing. The sanctioning body approved the cars with back seats removed and upgrades to the Corsa engine increasing horsepower and torque. The 100 1966 Corsas that received certification were all painted white and most had blue striping, and were named Yenko Stingers.  When Camaros, classifiable as a pony car, became available in 1967, Yenko transferred Chevrolet\'s 427 cubic inch 425hp L72 engine, (along with other high-performance parts), into some Camaros, creating the Yenko Camaro.  The 1967 & 1968 427 Camaros were so popular that, in 1969, Yenko used Chevrolet\'s Central Office Production Order, (COPO), system to have L72 engines installed into Chevrolet Camaros and Chevelles.  The high performance and limited production of all Yenko-modified cars makes them valuable and prized to collectors. For consignment and ready to sate your desire for good looks, attention to detail and near flawless execution, this 1969 Yenko Camaro tribute.  A newer restoration with all major and minor mechanical systems redone and every detail of the build taken into account to make this as close to the real thing as one can get.  Not quite as rare, and not nearly as valuable as the original but this one has the same superpower under the hood as the rear deal and sports all of the goodies much like the original.  You can even drive this one every day as it can sit in traffic and god forbid if something happens just get it fixed.  All wrapped up and looking amazingly just like the original, and on display in our main showroom where it is frequently mistaken for it. Exterior With this unassuming original Camaro look, you may pass it right by, however upon closer inspection, that Daytona Yellow in beautiful condition, miles deep and buffed to perfection, sports some correct Yenko stickers in the form of a Yenko Diamond on the front of the hood, and dual racing stripes going to the windshield, ending in a cowl induction hood over top of a 4-barrel Holley carb directly underneath.  Also, a black side spear sticker, starting at the front quarter, and racing rearward widens at the rear quarter with more Yenko badging, ending upward framing a rear spoiler.  No flaws, no rust, razor edged straight gaps, and crystal clear glass with perfect stainless trimmings are just a few of the highlights to this better than factory muscle ride.  A beautiful black vinyl top is on and has nice chromed trimmings surrounding it with just a hint of Daytona Yellow around the edges for the just right look.  Chrome bumpers are excellent, dual poles peek out from under the rear, and on all 4 corners are 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels with correct F70-15 Goodyear Polyglas rubber.  A note to the grille which is egg crate style, not a single detail was overlooked from the blacked out tail panel, Yenko badging, and the presence of a trio of black and chrome vertical shark gill vents in front of each rear wheel well. Interior Fully restored, it is hard to find any fault on this interior.  Nice black door panels have shiny cranks and a nifty rectangular Camaro badge in the center.  Beautiful buckets sporting the SYC logo on the headrests, draped in black vinyl float in a sea of unmarked nice black carpet.  Racing between the bucket seats is the carpeted hump with a Hurst shifter poking its wand out

FOR SALE: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro $88,500 USD

Chevrolet Camaro Automatic

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Hugger Orange Description: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute    Don Yenko, a major high performance dealer for many years, was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the L72 Camaro.  In the years preceding 1969, Don Yenko performed many engine conversions on the 427ci, replacing the factory engine in numerous Camaros and Chevelles.  In 1969 however, a new network of super car distributors was established, and Yenko quickly realized it would not be cost effective to swap out every engine.  So he contacted GM and requested these 427\'s be installed from the factory.  The COPO 9561 was established by GM from the central office, and the Yenko Camaro was born, with an initial order of 201. This wild ride is now on consignment here within the Hallowed Halls of Classic Auto Mall.  Our consignor picked it up from Pottstown PA where it has been sitting since 1984 and proceeded to do a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration and along the way, managing to morph it into a Yenko Tribute car.   Right out of 1969 and the bowtie company, a Camaro Yenko Tribute example.  Drop the handkerchief and kiss my ass. Exterior Taking its unassuming original Camaro look you may pass it right by.  However upon closer inspection, that Hugger Orange paint in beautiful condition, miles deep and buffed to perfection.  This orange, sports some correct Yenko stickers in the form of a Yenko diamond on the front of the hood, and dual racing stripes going to the windshield, ending on cowl induction scoop covering a 4 barrel Holley carb directly underneath.  A triple threat white side spear sticker, starting at the front quarter, and racing rearward widens at the rear quarter with more Yenko badging, ending after turning upward and framing a rear spoiler.  The top is full metal jacket orange painted and has chrome trimmed excellent condition glass.   Chrome bumpers are excellent, badging is correct and a nicely restored egg crate grille has single headlights on either corner.  A black chin spoiler is also on front below the bumper.  In back, triple horizontal Camaro lighting is making the car look like a wide track version.  Helping in this are the large American Racing Torque Thrust  5 spoke polished wheels in back wrapped by 28x12.00R15\'s and in front smaller 26x8.00R15\'s.  A great stance and fab look for this orange crusher. Interior Fully restored, it is hard to find any fault on this interior.  Nice ribbed black door panels have shiny cranks and a nifty rectangular Camaro badging in the center.  Beautiful buckets, draped in ribbed black vinyl, float in a sea of unmarked, like new black carpet.  These buckets have the essential sYc badging on the headrests.  The simple deep dish dual square instrument original dash is upfront, as is the original steering wheel.  Added is a white faced tachometer mounted to the column.  To the driver\'s right is a newer AM/FM/Cassette radio, and vertical mounted climate sliders.  Mounted high in the hump is a  Quicksilver B&M shifter.  The hump meets up with a nicely preserved matching black rear bench in back.  Above the black headliner seems fairly tight with a few panels showing just a bit of light folds.  All very clean and plenty of attention to have everything looking very original. Drivetrain The mean spirited 502ci V8 which the consignor states is a ZZ502 crate mill is stuffed under the hood.  It has  aluminum heads, and is topped with a 4-barrel Holley 750cfm double pumper carburetor.  On back is a TH400 3-speed automatic, and power spins the rear tires via a 12 bolt 3.73 Posi rear axle from Moser.  Hooker headers and a Flowmaster exhaust is now installed for the exhale.  Supple hoses and black and orange paint with no corrosion or surface rust and this bay is a stunner! Undercarriage Just wonderfully restored with clean and sound undercarriage parts, most new including a new Rock Valley stainless fuel tank, fuel pump and brake lines.  Meanwhile the frame and stamped steel floor pans are all sprayed with bed liner, the

FOR SALE: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro $85,995 USD

Chevrolet Camaro Manual

Engine: 427 V8 Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Orange Description: This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko tribute is exactly what you want in a muscle car. It has bold paint, aggressive upgrades, bright chrome, and a bucket seat interior. Plus, an awesome big block waiting for you under the hood and you control it with four-on-the-floor. There\'s a serious engine in this Camaro, and so only an upgrade to the Chevy\'s Hugger Orange would do. After all, it\'s an iconic and aggressive color, and this has the right vibrant style to get plenty of attention out on the road. It also has an added intimidation in its attitude with upgrades like a blacked-out grille and competition-style Torq Thrust wheels with extra meaty rear rubber. And that power dome on the cowl hood is a true indication there\'s plenty of muscle under there. Bright chrome and good panels are the kinds of details we like, but on an aggressive car like this, the best investment might just be the Yenko vinyl stripes. The graphics running down the sides show off the well-fitting doors and connect with the spoiler. The hood stripes are a cool piece that points the way forward. And it all really lets everyone know you appreciate both power and muscle car history. The aggressive attitude continues with the black interior. The door panels, dash, and carpet have a clean stock look. The upholstery looks quite nice, and they get the details right, like the front bucket seats with the sYc logo in the headrests. You get a grippy Chevy three-spoke sports steering wheel, a large factory speedo and tach, and the center console houses both the quad auxiliary readouts and the Hurst shifter. It all makes sure you have a Yenko-level of driver-oriented packaging. As great as everything else is, it\'s whats in the engine bay that you\'re going to love most about this powerful Camaro. It\'s a very tidy presentation of a true 1969 427 cubic-inch big block with a four-barrel carburetor on top. This has a nice classic look, right down to the details like the Yenko decals and GM hoses. But this one also has the right more modern upgrade to make sure you have the best in performance. It includes a Dart aluminum intake, an MSD 6AL ignition, and headers feeding into the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. The four-speed manual transmission gives you full control of the power and rumble. Plus, features like the 12-bolt rear end and traction bars are stout pieces you want on a big power coupe like this. And power steering and front disc brakes are there to make sure it\'s also easy to cruise this Yenko tribute. This Camaro is seriously clean and mean. So when you\'re looking for a big block machine with plenty of Yenko attitude, you know you need this bold Chevy. Call now!

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Yenko Tribute

Chevrolet Chevelle

Since Don Yenko's special cars were known to be some of the baddest on the streets, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro does its Yenko tribute right. That means it has a big 502ci V8 under the hood, plenty of go-fast goodies, and four-on-the-floor. But more than just big power, you're going to love this one because the trim tag indicates this was born a mean black car inside and out. As you look through the full package, you'll see the right components were added to really enjoy this power car to the fullest.
