1970 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Hardtop

Chevrolet Malibu

1970 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Hardtop Grocery Getter: A compact, sub-compact or midsize coupe, sedan, hatchback or station wagon with a generous amount of trunk/hatch space and a back seat that usually folds down, powered by an unimpressive yet reliable and reasonably economical 4 or 6 cylinder engine. The idea is that such a vehicle is uninspiring to drive, but the trunk space at least makes it good for getting groceries. Generally speaking, a bigger, (ie; V6), engine or an engine that is turbo or supercharged, along with bigger sway bars and stiffer suspension are necessary to turn a grocery getter into either a sports sedan or a sports coupe...

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454

Chevrolet Chevelle

GR Auto Gallery of Indy is pleased to present this stunning 1971 Chevelle SS for your consideration. This beautiful '71 Chevelle SS is a outstanding car that comes to us from the second owner. Covered in Placer Gold that is complimented by a spotless Saddle interior with factory Strato-bucket seats, console, and factory gauges. This outstanding example is a true Z15 SS car that started as a bare basic L48 car that the current owner decided to change the build to what the original owner wanted. Under the hood is a period correct LS7 454 engine, backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, and mated to a 12 bolt rear end. Factory upgrades include; Soft-Ray tinted glass, power windows and door locks, tilt steering, power steering, power brakes, power trunk opener, rear window defroster, sport steering wheel, AM/FM/ Stereo Radio, front and rear bumper guards, posi traction rear end with performance axle ratio, and Z15 SS Equipment. The 53 Placer Gold is 95 percent original, and still retains the factory black SS stripes. This is a beautiful example of a survivor that has been altered to reflect the true power of the early 70's Muscle Car's. Don't miss out on the one of a kind legend. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to give us a call with any questions or for more information. Although the 1971 Chevelle retained the 1970 body, it was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. The grille was widened and featured a bright horizontal bar that divided it into two sections. At the center of this bar was a large Chevy bowtie for Malibu's, or a large "SS" emblem for the SS models. The grille on the Super Sport was painted flat black, other models got a silver-finished grill. Base Chevelles got a thinner, plain bar with no ornamentation. A small "Chevelle" nameplate was located in the lower-left corner of the grille. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. The Heavy Chevy (RPO YF3) was only available with the base Chevelle sport coupe (13437) and was primarily a dress-up option and even it was limited to options available on the standard Chevelle sport coupe; vinyl carpeting, front bench seat, no center console shift, etc. Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing and/or $199 documentation fees. 1970 Chevrolet El Camino

Chevrolet El Automatic

1970 Black Chevrolet SS El Camino What Makes This Car Special Chevrolet El Camino is a coupe utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 19591960 and 19641987. Unlike a pickup truck, the El Camino was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body while production resumed for the 19641977 model years based on the Chevelle platform. Most collectors think the 1970 SS El Camino, like the one we have here at Skyway Classics, is the most desirable body style of all. It received sheet metal revisions back then that gave the bodies a more squared-up stance and the interiors were also redesigned. This restored 1970 Chevrolet SS El Camino has been restored and has a 350 cubic inch small block powerplant, shiny black paint with white stripes, and plenty of Super Sport attitude. Features 1970 Chevrolet SS El Camino 350 cubic-inch small block Chevy V8 engine Sharp painted and detailed engine compartment Four-barrel carburetor Aluminum intake Tube headers Flowmaster dual exhaust system Open air cleaner system Chrome Chevrolet valve covers Factory air conditioning Power steering and brakes 12-bolt rear end Automatic transmission Factory air conditioning Twin black front Bucket Seats Matching rear seat and door panels Factory Console with the horsesh factory shifte Factory Tach and gauges Air conditioning Custom Auto Sound audio system Comfort grip steering wheel Black carpet and El Camino floor mats Restored black shiny PPG basecoat, clearcoat paint Sanded and buffed with a ceramic coating This is like a brand new 1970 El Camino with an estimated $85,000 spent on restoration Cowl induction hood White stripes cover the cowl-induction hood with its hood pins Blacked-out SS grille and rear panel New chrome bumpers and trim Bed liner Cragar chrome SS 5-spoke mag wheels BF Goodrich TA Radial white-letter performance tires Mechanical When you lift the hood on our El Camino you will find a 350 cubic-inch small block Chevy V8 engine that looks just like it was advertised in 1970. The sits inside the sharp painted and detailed engine compartment. The 350 motor has the four-barrel carburetor on top of an aluminum intake, with tube headers, Flowmaster dual exhaust system, open air cleaner system, chrome Chevrolet valve covers, Factory air conditioning, and power steering and brakes. If you look at the undercarriage photos you'll see that the engine and tranny sends the power back to a 12-bolt rear end with heavy duty shocks and springs. It also has the right stance with the Cragar chrome SS 5-spoke mag wheels with fat BF Goodrich TA Radial white-letter performance tires on all four wheels. Interior The El Camino has the twin black front Bucket Seats and matching rear seat and door panels, factory Console with the horsesh factory shifter, factory Tach and gauges, air conditioning, Custom Auto Sound audio system, Comfort grip steering wheel, black carpet and El Camino floor mats. Exterior The 1970 El Caminos share the same single-year front end as its Chevelle sibling, and the iconic look will always be in demand. Ours has the great restored black shiny PPG basecoat, clearcoat paint that has been sanded and buffed with a ceramic coating. This is like a brand new 1970 El Camino with an estimated $85,000 spent on restoration The paint has with great luster and fine body fitment and the Cowl induction hood, white stripes cover the cowl-induction hood with its hood pins, and the blacked-out SS grille and rear panel, new chrome bumpers and trim, and even a bed protected by a liner. Conclusion The very nice 1970 Chevrolet SS El Camino we have at Skyway Classics is very well done and will make the new owner a great cruiser to add to the collection. It has had a full restoration and it shows it. Come see it today. So give us a call at 941-254-6608.
