They were an Arizona Pontiac dealer that loved their cars so much that they made even hotter versions of Firebirds. With the 2nd gen cars you\'d know them as DKM Macho, but when it came to these final years, the Mecham name was out front. There are plenty of details that make this one stand out. You have an upgraded hood bird done in a terrific metallic blue to remind us of the original Trans Am. There\'s also the big Mecham windshield banner, wide dual exhaust tips, and ROH five-spoke alloys. Plus, Mecham had their own version of the T/A\'s spoiler that made it even wilder. This example has relatively low mileage where the (likely) original white finish shows enjoyment while looking attractive for its age. And the model year is quite important because it has passed the quarter-century milestone this year. So you have a special build that\'s also now eligible for vintage car plates and registration in many states. The interior is all about delivering a loaded driver\'s car. The front bucket seats are specially contoured to give you a great driver\'s feeling. And yours even power adjusts for the right driver\'s feeling. The Mecham/DKM legend was built by what\'s under the hood, and 1998 was the ideal year to get a power car from them. This was the debut year of the 5.7-liter LS1 fuel-injected V8 for the Trans Am. This one takes it to a new level with an upgraded throttle body, AFR aluminum heads, a Mecham performance air intake, and headers. Plus, the upgraded cam makes for a terrific way to increase the power and rumble of the total package. There are also good supporting compomers, like an aluminum radiator, a newer battery, and a Mecham strut tower brace. It all makes for a powerful car that also was built to be a proper driver. That\'s why you also have the 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. It is built strong to be good at handling the extra power, and it also can just smoothly shift you into overdrive comfort. And features like power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and upgraded rotors make it an all-around solid driver. There are plenty of mainstream details that you could upgrade, including new tires, a new dash pad, or reupholstering the driver\'s seat. Interior Color: White Exterior Color: White Description: 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 25th Anniversary Coupe A beloved symbol of 1970s car culture. An icon of disco era design. A redneck\'s red-letter regalia. It\'s gaudy. Garish. Tacky. Even vulgar. And we love it. This is the story of Pontiac\'s Screaming Chicken, the largest and most recognizable decal in automotive history. Lost to time is the name of the man that first referred to the graphic as a Screaming Chicken.  The nickname came quickly. By the late 1970s, even Car and Driver was using the label. No doubt derogatory, over time the epithet has become one of endearment, although the brand\'s hardest purists still hate it. That bunch landed on hood bird four decades ago and refused to budge. Others go with Rising Phoenix or simply Firebird.  The ignorant usually refer to the massive flaming fowl as an Eagle or a Hawk. This rounded off, simplified design year version of the iconic Firebird right out of 1994 flies into our Hallowed Halls as an all original, former California 17,099 title verified actual mile car.  Always well cared for, and never beaten....complete with its Bright White leather wrapped owners manual, original window sticker and build sheet, 1994 never looked so good! Exterior Bright White basecoat and clearcoat adorn the straight panels of this car. Virtually no chrome and all composite bumpers on the front and rear come together to form this aerodynamic Anniversary edition of the Trans Am. The lines of this car blend seamlessly to form the final shape, all smooth and aerodynamic. All Bright White with blue decal center stripe, and the screaming chicken on the nose in the middle of hidden headlight smoothness.  A rakish front glass framed in black trimmings is at the pause of the blue stripe to make room for the removable smoke glass T-tops on the roof as we work our way to the back of the car. A nice large curved greenhouse rear glass melts into a rear spoiler which is nicely rounded to match the curvature of the glass. This frames the rear of the car as well, and just above another composite bumper is an elongated oval of honeycombed taillights and black plastic with center badging.  Tailpipes are peeking out of the rear roll pan and look as though they have been molded into the body. White 5 spoke wheels are on all 4 corners wrapped in like new 245/50ZR16 black walls. Interior Pristine sculpted door panels appear as though they were shaped by the wind. Utilizing white inserts and black molded plastic to form the integrated armrest/door pull/power toggle housing and the speaker, all with the 25th Trans Am badge in the white field. Slipping inside, beautifully sculpted white leather buckets keep the wind-swept forming scheme, and these have black tubs they fit within.  2 more of these beautiful buckets are in the back, no separated by the hump and all of this seating appears as nearly new with only very light folds to note in the driver\'s bucket.  Racing forward is a center console which has a glovebox, shift lever and cup holder. As the dash rises temp controls and an AM/FM/CD stereo with a built in equalizer is neatly mounted into this central space. A trio of round vents are near the center of the dash top. More windswept sculpting for the instrument cluster which has a beautifully curved arch with analog gauges in the cluster. Charcoal carpeting floods the floors and is very clean, as is the headliner that divides the T-tops. Lest I forget, more embroidery for the headrests noting the 25th Trans Am. Underneath that rear greenhouse glass is a charcoal felted trunk tub and a flat upper storage area. Drivetrain A 5.7 liter LT1 V8, which is rated at 275 horses is under the hood. There is a slight overall patina and some light corrosion on cast aluminum parts and we note the addition of an aftermarket cold air intake. EFI feeds the fires within and a 4L60E 4-speed automatic is strapped to the back of this original mill. Way back is a 10-bolt 3.23 posi rear axle.
