FOR SALE: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air $97,995 USD

Chevrolet Bel air Manual

Engine: 454 V8 Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Red Exterior Color: Gypsy Red Description: Classic cars like this 1955 Chevy Bel Air require two things: time and money. The more you have of one, the less you need of the other, but there\'s no way around it, a car this nice requires a serious investment. Packing a powerful 454 V8 and 6-speed gearbox, an upgraded suspension, and a bespoke leather interior – all wrapped up in a gorgeous Shoreline Beige over Gypsy Red finish that\'s got us all hot-and-bothered in the showroom. Fast, reliable, and drop-dead beautiful, it\'s everything the original designers would\'ve wanted the 1955 Chevy to be if they had the benefit of modern technology. A Shoreline Beige top, Gypsy Red bottom, and loads of shiny chrome is a combination that would have looked right at home on the streets of 1955, although there was no paint job that looked this darn good way back then. The bodywork is straight, the glossy, strong driver-quality paint presents beautifully, and the car fits together very well – the result of all that time and money spent during this Bel Air\'s comprehensive restoration. We all love that the builders went back with the original two-tone colors rather than opting for a modern shade incongruous to this vintage, and because the build was just completed in 2020, everything still looks fresh. It\'s not a perfect trailer queen, although the naked eye has to get close to find much to complain about, and what little imperfections can be seen are minor and could be remedied with a cut-and-buff. Overall, the finish is sleek and presents well, the sheetmetal is straight, the gaps are good, and the curb appeal is off-the-charts. All the chrome and trim are new or restored and glistens under our lights, which also means someone spent enough cash restoring it all to put a kid through college, and all that Bel Air profile bling provides the perfect amount of shiny contrast as an official line of demarcation between the two colors. Inside, the stunning Beige-and-Red leather bucket seat interior was incredibly well done and offers supreme comfort and loads of modern conveniences. Supple yet firm custom leather upholstery covers both the power front bucket seats and rear bench alike, featuring ornate stitchwork and classically styled patterns that manage to look both vintage and modern at the same time. The flanking door panels were finished to match and feature shiny chrome accents and hardware, showing off an artist\'s touch that makes the cabin feel extremely elegant inside. At the same time, the bright red carpets that cover the floors are the proper cut-and-pile for the era and nicely insulate the cabin from the outside world with the help of custom Bel Air floormats. Up top, the headliner was finished right the right way, complete with slats that take a lot of skill to install correctly, and even the \'minor\' parts of the cabin like the kick panels and rear package tray were installed with a high degree of detail, further proof that nothing was overlooked in this comprehensive build. The original dash was finished back-to-stock, with a gorgeous, engine-turned aluminum center strip that pops out against the red paint. Although the factory gauge bezel is still in its stock position, it\'s now filled with a full array of Dakota Digital instruments that keep a closer eye on the upgraded drivetrain. A thin, wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit inside – mounted atop a tilt column that provides more room for the driver – and it\'s a perfect complement to the \'Long\' shifter that splits the seats and practically taunts the driver to go bang through some gears with great aplomb. A removable center console adds storage, seatbelts up front add a modicum of safety, and a modern R134a A/C system was discreetly installed and kept the cabin nice and cool. Everything was finished to a high level and still feels incredibly fresh with only a couple of years on the build, including the spacious trunk out back that was painted to mirror the exterior and comes protected with match

FOR SALE: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air $86,900 USD

Chevrolet Bel air Automatic

Interior Color: Red Exterior Color: Matador Red Description: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop Imagine a car so popular that a new term came to be based on that design.  That name is Tri-Five, which refers to 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevrolet automobiles, in particular the Bel Air, 150, 210, and the Nomad.  With beautiful proportions and new skins each of those successive years, and a thorough peppering of chrome, these cars produced in this time became iconic.  From all original to highly modified versions, many Tri-Five clubs have sprung up to showcase individuality, originality, and the beloved Chevrolet concepts of Harley Earl and his team. Gracing our numerous showrooms here at Classic Auto Mall are many examples from the Tri-Five\'s most glorious year, 1957.  This one stands out amongst the others with its clean red paint, near flawless interior, oh and did I mention, it\'s the top of the line model in the Bel Air.  This baby is dressed in Matador Red and has a gorgeous black textured flagstone patio pattern broadcloth with red vinyl interior.  Restored in the 1970\'s and treated to a repaint in 2008, this Bel Air is still looking great today.  Timeless lines, gobs of chrome, and fins baby...it doesn\'t get any better than this! Exterior Straight rust-free steel panels draped in Matador Red cover the exterior of this car.  A white ribbed fin panel is inserted on the rear quarters and has gold Bel Air badging in your grandmother\'s handwriting along with a cloisonné bowtie badge.  Upfront two jet age hood inserts fly forward leaving a jet trail in the form of a small bump that dies at the windshield.  The smiling front grille is all very nicely chromed and has a large lower bumper complete with two small Dagmars with rubber tips.  The correct for Bel Air trim gold egg crate is buried within the smile.  A swoop trim spear runs from the headlights to the rear quarter where it divides and allows for the ribbed insert.  More Matador Red paint for the roof, and more chrome trim around the windows.  The rear of the car now goes full bore with the vertical fins all trimmed in chrome with the crescent moon tail lights and backup lights melting into a clean and mirror-like chrome bumper.  A note to this car\'s exterior paint, it is nearly faultless with only some minor inclusions and orange peel.  14-inch wheels with Chevrolet cloisonné badged faux spinner wheel covers and wide whites are on all 4 corners with the rears being partially obscured by the very 50\'s fender skirts. Interior Dripping in 50\'s styling there is abundant use of the nifty broadcloth that has a fine red bordered flagstone pattern stitched into a black background.  This greets red vinyl and is used this way on the door panels, and the seats.  Also add in twin silver chromed buttons in the mid section of each back for these classic chairs.  A nice red dash is upfront and has the upwardly mobile curved cove for the instrument cluster and turn signal lights.  Cutting through the middle of the dash is a chromed mesh horizontal trim that houses the radio, updated Air Tech aftermarket heat & AC slides and various control knobs.  Beautiful black carpet floods the floors, and a tight pristine red headliner is floating above all this 50\'s design. Drivetrain A flip of the hood and we are met with the beautifully restored 1957 version of the V8 engine bay.  It is truly an engineering wonder holding within a 283ci V8.  This engine sports an Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 600cfm 4-barrel carburetor.  A 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission is on back and throws power rearward to a 3.36 rear axle.  Showroom tidy and clean here with tons of chrome dress up, supple hoses and cleanly run wiring. Undercarriage Following the cues up top, the underneath is totally rust free with lightly patinaed black for the flooring frame and rockers.  It is just near perfect with a light sprinkling of surface rust and some lightly rusted dual exhaust with Cherrybomb mufflers.  Independent coil springs are the front suspension, and l

Gracing our numerous showrooms here at Classic Auto Mall is an example from the Tri-Five\'s most glorious year, 1957.  Also the top dog of the Chevrolet lineup, the Bel Air.  This example started life in Colorado and eventually wound up in the capable hands of our consignor who used the car in the early 90\'s as his Pharmacy delivery car.  I\'d call that a prescription for continued business and success!  The proud owners also utilized it as the star shuttle in their children\'s weddings.  Finally retirement and dreams of living the life of spending quality time with his wife have prompted it to go to another owner so they can make new memories.  In came our consignor who jumped at the chance to own this iconic version of the Tri-5 Chevrolets and treated to the car to all fresh fluids, new brakes and wheel cylinders and 4 new tires before deciding to pass this car on to the next lucky owner.  Gosh after reading this I\'m all shook up!  Or do I see love letters in the sand? Exterior Fairly straight steel panels draped in Sierra Gold cover the exterior of this car.  Some beginnings of rust are seen bubbling below the surface particularly on the lowers near the rockers.  An occasional area of previous bondo repairs is evident on this driver example.  Upfront two jet age hood inserts fly forward leaving a jet trail in the form of a small bump that dies at the windshield.  The smiling front grille inspired by Ferrari of all people, is all very nicely plated in \'57 gold and has a large lower bumper complete with two small Dagmars with rubber tips.  A swoop trim spear runs from the headlights with their eyelid shaped chrome bezels to its crescendo of fanning out at the rear quarter.  A white ribbed fin panel is inserted on the rear quarters and has gold Bel Air badging in your grandmother\'s handwriting along with a cloisonné bowtie badge.  On top, Adobe Beige paint on the roof, and more chrome trim around the windows.  Roof paint is suffering from cracking and crazing, as well as some peel off with underlying rust.  The rear of the car now goes full bore 50\'s motif, with the vertical fins canting inward to the rear bumper, all trimmed in chrome with the crescent moon tail lights and backup lights melting into a clean and mirror-like chrome bumper.  On the downturn of the trunk lid is a widened gold V with more Chevrolet grandmother\'s handwriting gold badging.  14-inch wheels with Bel Air trimmed dog dish wheel covers wrapped in brand new 205/75R14 wide whites are on all 4 corners.  Also a shout out to the wrap append front and rear glass as well as their trimmings which are in good condition.  Just the right formulation and not generic! Interior Dripping in 50\'s styling there is abundant use of the nifty broadcloth that has a cream bordered flagstone pattern stitched into a black background.  These panels are seen on the door uppers and lowers, and are broken up by a white vinyl central panel that becomes ever wider as it makes its way from the hinges to the latch.  Within this panel is a white armrest and some shiny handles and actuators.  The panels show some tears and ripping, particularly on the gold vinyl lowers next to the rockers.  Slipping our eyes inside a more nifty 50\'s design with dual full bench seats which the front resides within a gold tub.  Seats sport more of the black background cream stitched flagstone pattern for t

FOR SALE: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air $85,000 USD

Chevrolet Bel air Automatic

Interior Color: Aqua Exterior Color: Regal Turquoise Description: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad If you\'ve ever had the pleasure of driving a Tri-Five, (55-57), Chevy, you know how great the view is from behind the wheel.  The wide curved glass windshield and the high seating position make the outside world into a panorama, like a widescreen TV that you can drive right through.  A Bel Air or 210 is almost the world\'s best road trip car.  Almost?  Enter the Chevy Nomad.   It\'s got all the style and chrome of the famous Bel Air, but that station wagon rear makes you want to throw a surfboard on the roof, a friend or five in the back, and spend an entire summer, or maybe a lifetime just traveling the country watching the world over that chrome jet on the hood. 1955 when men were men and cars were...well big steel and chrome sculpted into iconic designs, that\'s what!  For consignment, from 1955, the Chevrolet Nomad and this low number production milestone car made in a mere 8,530 examples is now gracing our main showroom.  Perhaps it was the desire to own a sporty two door, or the practicality of a wagon, or maybe both?  Either way, a hen\'s tooth in beautiful mid 50\'s design is right here for the taking.  With a frame off restoration performed in 2019, the frame was powder coated, a 1 piece floor was installed from the toe board back along with new inner and outer rockers, a powerful Ram Jet 350 crate engine was installed along with a 700R4 automatic as well as a new interior, glass, rack and pinion steering, and updated brakes.  Photos of the build are included, as are all the receipts and manuals for parts used and now all in gleaming in the perfect 50\'s mix of turquoise and white, this Nomad is ready, willing, and able to become your dream come true. Exterior A miles deep application of Regal Turquoise is showing over straight and rust-free steel panels of this 2-door wagon.  Rakish is the only way to describe the Nomad, with its hardtop door-glass framing and sloping rear quarters that parallels the angle of the wide B-pillars.   Styling touches include a fluted roof, wraparound rear side glass, and rear-wheel cutouts.  From the cowl back, Nomads share little sheet metal with other Chevrolets, except for the basic floor pan.  The doors differ because Nomads lack a beltline dip, and quarter panels are unique due to the wheel cutouts.   Near perfect trimmings start just below the eyebrow shrouded fenders and race rearward before dying off toward the rear of each front door.  The front is showing that you have arrived with its chrome egg crate Ferrari-esque grille and imposing chrome bumper with guards.  A Chevrolet Clossiene badge leads the way on the front of the hood that dies off at the base of the crystal clear glass and shiny trimmings of the wraparound front windshield.  Up high is the India Ivory long fluted roof and panoramic glass, again crystal clear with flawless trim giving you and your passengers a view of the world as you streak by.   At the back, with its tailgate and rocket nose styled tail lights, both invite you to stay for a while.  The rear window and lower metal gate do a clamshell motion and magically separate for full access to the cargo area of this wagon.  Spit shined and polished Ansen Sprint aluminum slot wheels wear deeply treaded BF Goodrich rubber in staggered blackwall 15-inch format.  Just an amazing presentation here with a few minor inclusions in the finish and a missing Nomad script badge with exposed holes on the passenger\'s rear quarter panel.  These holes have been filled on the driver\'s quarter. Interior Summon up Bill Haley and the Comets as truly 1955 colors are all in the inside.  Turquoise dimple finish vinyl flows downward to meet up with chrome delineation strips for the tops of the door panels, and smooth white clean vinyl below.  This all crescendos with a square stamped stainless panel to fill out the door lowers.  The seats take on a life of their own with near flawless white tuck and roll bolsters with dimple finish turquoise inser
