FOR SALE: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle $58,995 USD

Chevrolet Chevelle Automatic

Engine: 454 V8 Transmission: Automatic Interior Color: White Exterior Color: Blue Description: This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute convertible has a very cool full blue style that\'s attractive and distinctive (just look at the undercarriage photos!) But it also doesn\'t forget to be a proper Super Sport tribute thanks to an awesome big block under the hood. The result is the kind of cruiser that has the style and rumble to leave a lasting impression. The dual power dome hood, SS badging, wide exhaust tips, and imposing style make for a nice Super Sport tribute. But there\'s something even more distinct here. As you look through the full photo file, you\'re going to be impressed with how much blue you see. It\'s not just the body, but the pieces of the suspension, motor, and other details are all color-coordinated. The reason for this comprehensive build is because this has been under the same care for nearly a quarter-century, and so there was time to have a detailed style. So when you items like the way the spinners of the upgraded alloys match the body, you understand there was a lot of consideration in that little detail. The whole finish is clean, complete, and matured, so it makes for a good-looking car that\'s also easy to drive. Plus, the full story of this Chevy\'s quality is seen in the bright chrome, clean glass, and good body lines are all part of what you get from long-term care. And we especially like the look of the full-length SS396 stripe. The white looks great against the bright blue, and it coordinates with the roof to create a subtle two-tone. Not only does the roof look good in place, but you also get a similar style when you power it down to reveal the parchment white upholstery. And the reason why this is so attractive is the color combo feels kismet. It reminds us of a nice summer day with big fluffy clouds. It\'s the kind of cheery afternoon that\'s ideal for driving a drop-top Chevelle. Plus, the full color package is one of the most thoughtfully intertwined setups we\'ve seen in a while. The blue is used for details like the carpeting and seatbelts, and the white makes for a memorable upgraded steering wheel. The two wide rows of bench seating have the right cruiser style. And in fact, there are nice anytime-driving features like a retro-style AM/FM stereo and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely just needs a recharge to blow cold again.) It\'s also a proper driver with nice features like a tilt steering column, sporty round gauges, and a handy tach. There\'s plenty more blue in the engine bay everywhere from the engine block to the smooth firewall. But where this color has been about being pleasant-looking before, now it just surrounds something very mean. This is a 454 cubic-inch big block, and it has been built for power. This includes aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, and topped with a Holley Street avenger four-barrel carburetor. You\'ll also spot good supporting components, like an MSD ignition, steel braided lines, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. And Hooker long tube headers let this V8 exhale with power into an X-pipe dual exhaust. As you look underneath, you see a clean style where the blue helps to highlight upgrades like the front disc brakes, upgrade string, boxed rear arms, thick sway bars, and Summit 12-bolt diff cover. Add in power steering, power brakes, and a stout but smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, and you have a powerful all-around cruiser. Chevrolet only built 8,950 Chevelle Malibu drop-tops in 1969, making them a very rare commodity over a half-century later. So to find one so distinctly presented with a growling V8 under the hood is the kind of treat that doesn\'t come around very often. Don\'t miss out, call today!

Chevrolet Malibu Manual

Interior Color: Parchment Exterior Color: Lemans Blue Description: 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle The storied Chevelle is one of those timeless designs that looks good no matter how it\'s built.  Stock, modified, race, pro-touring, whatever; the clean lines and balanced stance on these tough classics create a confident swagger that\'s universally admired.  That means, if you\'re looking to ride in style, you really can\'t go wrong with a Chevrolet A-Body.  And when you factor in this ride\'s big block drivetrain, tastefully restored interior and first rate, all-American sheet metal, you get the picturesque profile of an incredible muscle car! For consignment, a Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle from 1969.  A mostly original looking car for the exterior but with a snappy engine under the hood, a beautifully contrasting interior, disc brakes, and there is now lowered suspension to provide the ride.  The beneficiary of a nearly 4 year long restoration and if you aren\'t totally in love with the blacked out trim, then scroll through our photos as the consignor is including all the chrome and stainless with the exception of a front bumper.  Are you ready to assume the classic role of good and evil in this Harvey Dent and Two Face style Chevelle?  Exterior A side view has this car setup with a very neutral but lowered stance, giving the car a very racy look.  To add to the effect, it is bathed in a nearly flawless coating of Lemans Blue paint which looks so good I\'m almost ready to get my swimming trunks out and go for a dip in the sea of blue.  The metal is nearly perfect thanks to being a Nevada car most of it\'s life and what wasn\'t up to snuff was replaced.  NOS GM rear quarter panels and NOS front fenders were installed during the redux and the tail panel is courtesy of AMD.  A few minor chips are noted in the finish and we see a crack in the paint just below the passengers door handle, but those are about the only flaws.  Most of the side trimmings have been left off, and the ones still visible have been finished in sinister black.  A nicely curving rear glass melts seamlessly into the trunk lid and moves to the back of the car where angled inward tail lighting is seen on each corner.  Blacked out bumpers and window trimmings are looking nice and shiny, and other than the blacked out Chevelle badging on the header panel and trunk lid we are in a calm sea of blue.  Keeping with the blacked out theme is a rear filler panel, tail light bezels and the halo headlight highlighted egg crate grille.  Black chrome 17 and 15-inch Race Star Industries wheels are wrapped in 225/55R17\'s in front, and 275/60R15\'s on back for that extra smokkin\'. Interior Nicely straight Iridescent Parchment vinyl covered door panels are on the inside of the 2 doors, along with some blacked out cranks and door actuators.  Thin strips of chrome delineate different panels and add to the allure.  Moving inside we see twin front bucket seats and a sprawling rear bench.  The seats are also covered in Iridescent Parchment vinyl and have some smooth bolsters on the seats and backs and shallow tuck and roll inserts with some dress up buttons on the backs.  The headrests are present as well on these chairs and in the back, the bench seat appears to never have been sat in.  All this seating is floating in a sea of clean and fade free black carpeting.  Racing between the buckets and covering the hump is a correct black plastic console with a small storage compartment and silver inlay around the chrome handled Hurst shifter.  The original dash styling has been retained and houses a bevy of gauges within the deeply inset larger pods and includes the speedometer, engine vital monitoring gauges and a factory tachometer.  Wedged between the 2 large gauges is a factory clock.  A black rimmed and brushed steel spoke rally style steering wheel is fronting this near flawless dash.  In addition, the factory heater slides are present in the center of the dash and just below is the opening where the factory radio once lived.  Above a Parchment he

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Pearl White Description: 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle The storied Chevelle is one of those timeless designs that looks good no matter how it\'s built. For consignment a Chevrolet Malibu from 1969. This full on custom Pro-Street car was built over a period of 5 years by the prior owner and then featured in the May 1999 issue of GM High-Tech Performance, finally purchased by our consignor 2 years after the build was finished and kept on private display until recently. While the overall original appearance has been retained, but now sporting more of a drag car look in Pro-Street form along with huge rear tires, a monster big block mill with a list of parts that reads like the who\'s who of speed components and a mid 9 second quarter mile capability even with the factory\'s less than ideal aerodynamics, this Chevy is one to kick ass and take names. Exterior A side view has this car setup for a permanent lunging forward look thanks to the perfectly neutral stance of the suspension. To add to the effect, it is bathed in a pearl white paint. Most of the side trimmings have been left off, and the only chrome still seen is the door handles, rear view mirror, and brightwork around the passenger\'s compartment glass. Up front, dual headlights frame a black egg crate grille with integral trim spear and lead back to a pair of fiberglass fenders and a fiberglass cowl induction hood with a scoop added atop. These fenders are held to the body with Dzus pins and extra traditional hood pins for the rear of the hood. A nicely curving rear glass melts seamlessly into the fiberglass trunk lid and moves to the back of the car where angled inward tail lighting is seen on each corner. If the taillights seem a bit out of place to you, it\'s not your eyes playing tricks, they\'re from a Pontiac Beaumont, the cousin to the Malibu from the Great White North. Pearl white fiberglass bumpers are on both ends of the car and in the back, we see a fabricated aluminum wing along with wheelie bars to keep things from going too far skyward and a parachute to help things come to a stop on the big end. 15 inch Centerline wheels are wrapped in 26x7.50-15\'s in front, and steamroller-esque 33x18.50-15s on back for handling all that horsepower. Interior Nicely straight black vinyl covered door panels are on the inside of the 2 doors, along with some billet style cranks and door actuators. Moving inside, very little is left of the original interior, the rear seat has been removed to accommodate the aluminum wheel tubs. This brushed and bead rolled aluminum pattern continues on the rear inner side panels. An orange padded menagerie of roll cage tube encompasses the interior keeping both the driver and front seat passenger safe. Dual racing bucket seats with black vinyl covering flank the fabricated aluminum transmission tunnel with the B&M shifter, fire extinguisher and small fan to keep the driver cool while sitting in the staging lanes. The original dash has been removed in favor of more fabricated sheet aluminum. Within this custom dash is a full on display of AutoMeter gauges along with a Line Master delay box and a MSD 7AL-2 Plus ignition controller. A snazzy Grant GT rally style steering wheel is fronting this updated dash. On top of the dash are more warning lights for shifting and other engine functions. Black carpet, in very nice condition, provides the backdrop for this full on custom interior. Drivetrain As we lift off the hood we can unequivocally say Toto we are not in Kansas Anymore!.
