Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this sweet red 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28...
Engine: 350 V8 Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Classic White Description: The appeal of this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is as clear as black and white, literally. And not only do you have this terrific color combo inside and out, but also this terrific-looking muscle machine has plenty of V8 power, four-on-the-floor, and the Rally Sport front end we all want. This coupe has been under the care of the same owner for about 30 years. It\'s a Van Nuys build that was purchased in California. Over the three decades, it has been treated with care. We know that because the factory-correct Classic White was given a quality respray in the early years of his ownership, and today it still knows how to put finishes half its age to shame. And those special Rally Sport chrome bumpers shine to add to the very bright package. All of this makes for a nice background to let the dark power car pieces really stand out. It includes the RS blackout grille, chin spoiler, and mag wheels. And those iconic racing stripes are a true Z/28 piece that is painted on for permanence. The Rally Sport is a tribute; we believe this is a true Z/28 but don\'t have the paperwork to verify it. The polished dual exhaust tips, full-width rear spoiler, correct Z/28 badges, and big cowl hood complete a great performance look that you want on a classic Camaro. This coupe shows off even more of its dark side with the factory-correct black interior. It\'s a solid presentation that has a clean look throughout. And it\'s nice to see the little things, like the classic dual-spoke steering wheel and low-back bucket seats (a 1970 exclusive.) You\'ll especially like how this Camaro has a well-done driver\'s setup. You have a clear view of the full gauge panel with a large speedo and tach in the center. There\'s a handy oil pressure readout under the dash. And the upgraded B&M grabber on the Hurst floor shifter is where you want your right hand to rest. Under the hood is Chevy\'s 350 cubic-inch V8. The consignor states it was blueprinted and balanced in the \'90s. Plus, this was refreshed within the last year with the heads removed, and a complete reseal with gaskets, rear main seal, and oil pump. So the motor is both a clean and quality presentation. You\'ll also appreciate performance upgrades like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an upgraded intake, and Hedman long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. And you have complete control over this motor and its soundtrack with the smooth-shifting Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The 12-bolt rear end, rear sway bar with weld-on upper link brackets, and aluminum spacers under the lower-control arm snubbers are all details showing this could be a true Z/28. You also have great driving features, like power steering, power brakes, front discs, rear traction bars, and wide BF Goodrich T/As. This is a first-year second-gen Camaro with all the speedy style you love and a hardy V8 heart to back it up. Don\'t miss this Cali special. Call today!!!
