FOR SALE: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air $31,500 USD

Chevrolet Bel air Automatic

Interior Color: Dark Blue Exterior Color: Harbor Blue Description: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door Sedan  Without question, the 1957 Chevy is one of America\'s most iconic images.  From being instantly recognized around the world to its top ranking among diehard fans of GM\'s bowtie and general car enthusiasts alike, this single model year has seen it all since introduction.  Its competition credentials were felt not only on the quarter-mile, but also on the ovals–both dirt and paved.  It\'s been chopped, lowered, modified and lovingly restored.  The \'57 Chevy has also been replicated countless times in die-cast and molded plastic guises, ranging from 1/87 scale right up to 1/12th–even fiberglass go-kart bodies have been produced in its image.  And its picture has hung on countless bedroom and garage walls. For consignment, a 1957 Chevrolet 4 door sedan in Bel Air trim. It has had an earlier restoration, sports a newer, (1965), 283ci V8, and lots of replacement panels to remediate any rust.  Then it has all been bathed in Harbor Blue and Larkspur Blue two tone, has pretty of chromed trimmings, 4 doors, and is like a new pair of blue suede shoes.  So it\'s one for the money, two for the show, and three to get ready now go cat go! Exterior At the front of this five-seven hangs a bright Chevrolet crest and polished parking lamps between chrome trimmed eye lid-esque headlights and a broad bumper and a fading gold egg crate grille.  Also we see some round turn signal lights in thick bezels and rubber tipped Dagmars on either side.  At the top of that grille, a domed hood centers polished spear bullet and rocket tailed spoons in front of  wrap-around glass that\'s draped in polished frames.  This is all steel straight with well minded gaps, and is bathed in Harbor Blue.  At the base of those frames, polished wipers, a factory driver\'s mirror and traditional door handles complement flashy trim spears and elegant Chevrolet scripts in grandmother\'s handwriting within the ever widening silver and ribbed stainless panel in the rear quarters.   Undulating chrome is on the sills and this frames the lowers for the roof line which is bathed in Larkspur Blue.  At the back of the car a second broad bumper frames the trunk line lower, and a second colorful crest.  Edge trimmings form a Z on the tail fins as they ground themselves on the bumper.  Smaller flame shaped tail lights reside on the bottoms of these Z\'s and a backup light is within the bumper just below and chromed tipped exhaust is coming from under the bumper.   Simple Larkspur Blue painted steel wheels with standard wheel covering the hub are wrapped in thin whitewall rubber on all 4 corners.  From the curved glass to all the chrome, you can burn my house, steal my car, drink my liquor from an old fruit jar ,and do anything you want to, but don\'t step on my blue suede shoes! Interior Featuring a stunning array of light and dark blue vinyl, this Chevy\'s carefully restored interior is both clean and impressive.  At the center of the cockpit, firm bench seats wear a retro amalgamation of light blue vinyl bolsters with dark blue white thread stitched tuck and roll broadcloth inserts.  Some dark blue piping is on for extra bling to these benches, front and rear.  In front of those seats, a full metal jacket dash forms round wide steel bezels bathed in light blue and house round black faced gauges and a lineup of small round lights in deep chromed bezels just above these gauges.  These circles border on a square weave pattern chromed strip that runs the length of the dash, and houses some knobs and pulls, the radio which is now a digital readout AM/FM/Cassette version, and a rectangular clock in front of the passenger.  Fronting the dash on the driver\'s side is a light blue bakelite steering wheel with a complete circle horn right in the center.  Just below the chromed square weave strip is another horizontal band which is back to the dark blue paint just like the all steel dash top.  Here the heater control buttons and a glovebox are seen and ju

FOR SALE: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air $49,900 USD

Chevrolet Bel air Manual

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Tropic Turquoise Description: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air - Same Owner Since 1984 - 283ci V8 - 3 2bbl Carburetors - 4 Speed Manual Transmission - Hurst Floor Shifter - 3.55 Rear End - Dual Exhaust - Front Disc Brakes - American Racing Wheels - Tropical Turquoise Exterior - Black Interior Arguably one of the most recognizable cars ever produced, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air embodies the 50\'s era cars known for rear fins and plenty of chrome. While some cars of that era looked dated as time progressed, the Chevrolet Bel Air has remained a timeless treasure that looks as stunning today as it did when new. The \'57 Chevy Bel Air was more than just a pretty face; they were a reliable car that drove and handled well. As youthful Americans looked to the muscle cars coming out of Detroit in the early \'60s to get their need for speed met, some mechanically minded street racers turned to the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air to create their own stoplight champion. The Chevrolet Bel Air left the factory with a curb weight under 3500lbs and the high-revving small Chevrolet V8 responded well to basic performance upgrades. Add a four-speed manual and performance-oriented rear gear and you had a streetcar not to be reckoned with. This popularity as a perfect pallet for performance only added to the mystique that surrounds this renowned classic American Car. Featured here is a perfect example of why these cars are still popular today with collectors. This car has been under the loving care of the same owner since 1984. The Robin\'s Egg Blue paint is professionally applied over well-executed bodywork. The paint finish and the miles of chrome and stainless steel have all been kept well-polished and shine with a deep luster. The trunk area is clean, and a custom-fit carpet trunk mat covers a rust-free trunk floor. The only additional touch to the otherwise stock appearance of this classic is a set of period-correct American Racing Torq-Thrust polished aluminum wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires turned blackwalls out. With a slight rise in the rear, this Bel Air sports the classic California Stance that looks fast just sitting still. Inside the interior has been accurately restored featuring correct stock seat upholstery, door, and side panels all adorned in the factory textured cloth inserts. The carpet and headliner appear fresh and a set of custom embroidered floor mats with the Bel Air logo are in place to keep the carpet looking like new. Looking at the dash one ponders why Detroit ever stopped building such detailed dashes with intricate stainless details. A tasteful 3-spoke billet steering wheel fits in perfectly with the classic design and sets atop a tilt steering wheel. A Custom AutoSound Radio fits perfectly in the dash featuring an AM/FM cassette player and controls a CD player mounted in the trunk area. A set of AutoGage gauges are mounted under the dash to monitor the engine vitals. Under the hood is the period correct 282 V8. The engine compartment is clean and well-detailed and ready for the hood to be popped open for curious car show onlookers. The motor is lightly modified with a period correct 3X2 bbl. Tri-Power carburetor set up with aluminum performance intake and Mallory ignition. Custom touches include Chevrolet embossed polished aluminum valve covers, separate chrome K&N filters, chrome alternator, polished aluminum water pump, and the drive belt has been converted to a single serpentine belt system. Stock performance cast-iron Ram\'s Horn exhaust manifolds send the burnt gases out of the exhaust. An aluminum radiator and custom-fabricated aluminum fan shroud keeps this hot set-up running cool. Power is transferred through a 4-speed manual transmission to the rear differential with a 3.55 gear set. Underneath the chassis has been restored and still presents as well detailed. All the fuel and brake lines have been replaced and the front brakes have been upgraded from drums to discs and this Chevy is old school with no power steering
