FOR SALE: 1929 Ford Model A $24,000 USD

Ford Model a Automatic

Interior Color: Saddle Exterior Color: Red Description: 1929 Ford Model A Roadster The original 1929 Ford Model A was available in a variety of colors to please the palate. It weighed 2,050 pounds and had 40 horsepower at 2,220rpm. The only engine option was a 20ci inline 4 cylinder with a 3-speed manual transmission. One must wonder what Henry Ford would think of the thousands of Model A\'s that have been hot rodded, lowered, updated, and fitted with powerful V8\'s, serving as one of the most popular cars to build and modify. In any configuration, they stand as an American classic 100 years after being manufactured. We suspect 100 years from now, they\'ll still be cool. For consignment, a 1929 Model A with the basic recipe of a small block V8, disc brakes, electric fan, rumble seat, and so much more! Our consignor states this is a build from 1989 and even if it was a build from 1929, it would be head turner. And bonus, the top goes down to escalate the fun factor. Note: This vehicle is sold with a Pennsylvania reconstructed branding on the title Exterior As noted, this shade of red was not an option in 1929 but boy, it sure looks good in 2024. It\'s as if this body style was made for red and it wears it well. In the front, we note added turn signals and nice metal work on the bumper, grille, lightbar and headlight surrounds. The chrome trimmed windscreen pivots outward for added ventilation. The rear presents with wide fenders that taper up to the black canvas top and plastic rear window, all in great condition. The stance of the car is classically raked, with 70 series rear tires on 15-inch Centerline wheels. There\'s a step plate on the right rear fender and you know what that means! Rumble seat! The engine bay lacks side covers and puts the V8 automotive jewelry on full display. Some imperfections in the paint include various scrapes and scratches with perhaps a bit of body bend on one fender scrape. Interior Saddle brown vinyl covers the small doors with a pleated storage pouch on each side. The seat takes that material in a button and tufted layout and padded top edge. It\'s in very good condition and our eyes are drawn to that one button cover that is missing and discoloration on the seat back. The rumble seat mirrors the material and pattern. A 3-spoke steering wheel with said spokes painted red matches the glossy red dash. The center gauge cluster contains Stewart Warner readouts of essential information. They are black faced with the exception of a Bosch white faced gauge indicating operating temperature. The simple shifter and parking brake are on the floor which is covered in a low pile saddle carpet that could use a good cleaning or replacement. The footwell walls are covered with the vinyl buttoned material. Drivetrain The trusty 350ci V8 is supplied here topped by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor over an Edelbrock intake manifold. It\'s tied to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission headed back to a Ford 8 inch rear with consignor-stated positraction. Electronic distributor supplies the spark to new wires. An electric fan is also present. Plenty of chrome on the engine and the headers are polished for some extra bling. Disc brakes occupy the front while drums are in the rear. Undercarriage We\'re seeing red! The underside, including the dual gas tanks, frame, springs, rear axle and belly pans are painted red. It\'s driver quality underneath with some grease and road grime, but nothing overwhelming. There is some surface rust particularly on the steering rods and one muffler. The exhaust runs from the headers to a pair of Turbo mufflers then exits behind each back wheel. 4-bar suspension with transverse leaf springs fit the front while another 4-bar and coil springs suspend the rear. Drive-Ability Model A\'s, especially with bench seats, really do feel like a ride at Disneyland, and we know that riders in the rumble seat feel that even more! The roomy cabin made possible by the high soft top is comfortab

FOR SALE: 1931 Ford Model A $22,995 USD

Ford Model a Manual

Engine: 201 CI 4 Cylinder Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Tan Exterior Color: Washington Blue Description: This 1931 Ford Model A has a lot going for it. This is a rare slant windshield model, and there\'s a long list of solid investments to make sure this is kept a road-ready classic. So if you want the feeling of rolling nostalgia, you need to check out this sedan. The slant windshield sedan is a 1931-only body style that can be easily identified by its namesake inclined front glass. That gets people thinking about a true classic. And if you like a real vintage machine, then this one has even more to offer. The Washington Blue with black fenders is a classic color theme with a glossy appearance. It was redone 30+ years ago so that casual observers may assume the matured style is just an exceptional survivor. There\'s a nice level of coordination with the black vinyl top going well with the black lower paint. And we especially like how the gray pinstripe matches the wire wheels. It\'s an impressive overall style, and that\'s because this comes from an enthusiast who really loves these slant windshield sedans. This was what he considered his backup/cruiser, and so you\'ll see the right driver-ready attitude throughout. There\'s always something extra jaunty about the look of suicide doors on a sedan. They are a gateway to a spacious back seat, and so it feels like a car you can share with family and friends. And with the full cloth interior having a very vintage style -- but a far fresher restored feel -- there are plenty of people who will happily go for a ride. The classic four-spoke steering wheel and three-speed floor shifter will give you that vintage tingle every time you feel their grip, and the pop-out front windshield knows how to get the old-school breeze flowing. It\'s a fully authentic experience where the only addition you may notice is the water temperature gauge cleanly installed on the steering column. It\'s a true sign they want you to be able to enjoy the drive. The engine bay is one of the most interesting you\'ll ever find for a Model A. There\'s a nice authentic style to the clean green block, plug leads, and the fuel shut-off valve that was exclusive to 1931. You\'ll even see a cool brass plaque identifying a rebuild in 1935. But this is a road-ready classic, and so there\'s a bit more going on here than the first impression. For example, the latest rebuild was really closer to about 1500 miles ago. It\'s said to include an oversize bore and new components like the pistons, rings, bearings, camshaft, timing gear, and valves. There\'s also a new radiator, distributor, pulley, fan, hoses, harness, and an upgrade to a 6-volt alternator. You can call for a full breakdown of the full investments, but the way this one runs strong really reaffirms the quality. And everything from a rebuilt transmission to new brake drums makes this a true vintage sedan that truly loves to cruise. This is the rare and desirable slant windshield Town Sedan that was made to be shown off in more places. So if you want to drive a legend, call today!

FOR SALE: 1931 Ford Model A $23,500 USD

Ford Model a Automatic

Interior Color: Gray Exterior Color: Maroon Description: 1931 Ford Model A The Ford Model A of 1927–1931, (also colloquially called the A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among rodders and customizers), was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T.  First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years.  This new Model A, (a previous model had used the Model A name back in 1903–1904), was designated as a 1927 model and was available in four standard colors, but not black.  The Model A came in a wide variety of styles: Coupe,  Deluxe,  Convertible , Cabriolet, Convertible Sedan, Phaeton, Tudor, Town Car, Fordor, Fordor (3-window) Victoria, Station Wagon, Taxicab, Truck, and Commercial.  The Model A was produced through 1931.  When production ended in March, 1932, there were 4,849,340 Model A\'s made in all styles.  This 1931 Ford Tudor Victoria, (two door), Model A sedan has many modifications, upgrades and would be considered under the category of street rod.  An earlier restoration and modification, it is now in need of some cosmetic TLC but remains a great driver.  Please read carefully the following categories to get a feel for this rodder. Exterior An all steel body dripping in maroon paint blankets the exterior of the car.  There are many areas of cracking, crazing, paint peeling off, and dents and dings where primered and raw steel are exposed.  On the driver\'s door a Bondo patch, unpainted, is noted, however, no real rust though is seen.  The vinyl top is cracking and also finished in faded maroon.  Ribbed side mounting strips on this top edge are also peeling.  In front a vertical stainless steel ribbed grille is shining nicely.  A nifty V8 badge is in the center and resides on a horizontal slightly curved bar that mounts the large round headlights, encased in chrome.  Open side cowling on the engine bay gives the world a view of the power plant under the steel hood which shows some light rusting on the central hinge.  Our consignor notes that the hood side panels are included with your purchase.  On the back, the trunk line has been modified to remove the fuel tank and now an interior tank is residing behind a fuel door.  Stalked tail lighting is on either side, a chromed bumper below, and dual exhaust peek out of the bottom below the bumper.  15-inch nice chromed wire wheels are wrapped in front 165/R15\'s and on back larger 225/75R15\'s are on all from the 22nd week of 2000. Interior A swing of either door and we can see some lightly soiled gray velour broadcloth covering the door panel.  There is a shiny actuator and power window toggles within these playing field.  Gray carpeting is on the lowers and a curved delineating chromed line is between the two.  As I slip inside, more 50 shades of gray I\'m trying to remember my safe word!  Alas I forgot it, so I\'ll carry on nervously!  High back gray velour buckets with stitched Thunderbird inserts in their uppers are in front, and a long and luxurious gray bench is in back.  A bit lighter for this velour broadcloth but looking the part of comfort for sure.  More velour covers the side panels and these sport some tuck and roll then become smooth for the upper surrounds and the headliner.  Looking forward on the headliner I see a wood panel which becomes an upper console which houses the JVC AM/FM/CD radio, a few courtesy lights and some toggles.  Just below is the factory shaped dash in a full metal jacket and in satin black.  This is a nicely curved undulating styling and has a lineup of round chromed bezeled VDO white-faced gauges.  A billet styled rally steering wheel is at the top of a tilt steering column.  Here a modern twist styled stalk wiper and turn signal lever is on, as well as the shifter.  Nice clean gray carpeting floods the floors. Drivetrain Under the open cowled hood resides a mechanical jewel in the form of a Buick 231ci V6 mill.  It has a 4-barrel Edelbrock carb on
