FOR SALE: 1968 Ford Ranchero $19,995 USD

Ford Ranchero Automatic

Engine: 351 Windsor V8 Transmission: Automatic Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Lime Gold Metallic Description: The Ranchero was born out of the idea of having one vehicle that could go to church on Sunday and run a bale of hay into the fields on Monday. But by 1968 something else had happened. The extra power going into the muscle cars was finding its way into these utility vehicles that shared the same chassis. So this Ranchero takes that sporty feeling to heart nicely. You see it in details like the black hood and rockers added to the factory-correct Lime Gold paint. And the competition-style Torq Thrust wheels are sitting on fresh Cooper Cobra raised white letter tires. The interior has sporty details like the wood-rimmed steering wheel, auxiliary gauge trio, and a tach added to the gauge package. There\'s even nice power under the hood with a mighty 351 cubic-inch V8. So take some extra time checking out a cool Ranchero with some added power flair. HIGHLIGHTS *Classic Ford Lime Green Metallic *Bright chrome bumpers and full-length trim of a clean classic *Upgraded hood stripe and rocker stripe *American Racing 15-inch Torq Thrust D wheels *New (2022) Cooper Cobra tires *Liner paint protecting the truck bed *Deeply tinted windows to go with the other dark exterior details *Darkens continues inside with a full black interior *Door panels, carpeting, dash, and headliner show quality fundamentals *Classic bench seat with comfy cloth inserts *AM/FM/cassette stereo *Driver-oriented: wood-rimmed wheel, auxiliary gauge trio, and added tach *351 cubic-inch V8 --Four-barrel carburetor --Ford Racing valve covers --Newer aluminum radiator --H-pipe dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers *Three-speed automatic transmission *Power steering and power brakes We like this Ranchero because it taps into a sporty style that was also happening with the Fairlane. And the V8 gives it the right power to have this kind of attitude. But what\'s the most impressive part is that this really is just a comfortable and practical cruiser. The liner paint in the bed means this one still can do the chores, the ride is sedan-like comfortable, and the Flowmaster mufflers make sure the V8 sounds nice white being civil. So when a sporty look meets with a sensible core, it makes for an irresistible classic. Call today!!!

1967 Ford Ranchero For Sale

Ford Ranchero

This 1967 Ford Ranchero is a beautifully restored pickup that is ready for some serious summer cruising! The history of the Ford Ranchero dates back to 1934 when the ""Ute"" was released in Australia. See, the story goes that the genesis of the Ute originated when the wife of an Australian farmer asked the local Ford plant to build ""a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday, and which can carry our pigs to market on Mondays?"" While the Ute seemed to garner some traction in Australia in the years that followed, the car/truck combo vehicle made its American debut on December 8, 1957 at the National Automobile Show in New York as the Ford Ranchero. At the outset, the Ranchero was a well-received addition to Ford's truck lineup and was brought to the United States in part due the success of Chevy's luxury Cameo Pickup. As the years went on, the Ranchero continued to straddle the line of car and truck. In 1960, the Ranchero was incorporated in Ford's Falcon line as the ""Falcon Ranchero."" As the years progressed the Ranchero's reputation as work-friendly truck would continue but as the desire for more muscle would begin to materialize, the Ranchero increasingly became more know for its ability to be a work truck with some performance as well. In 1966, Ford would drop the Falcon moniker from the Ranchero as the truck would begin to share more similarities to the Fairlane, Ford's performance-oriented vehicles. After that year of transition, the 1967 Ranchero would be more of an obvious outgrowth from the Fairlane. Marketed by Ford as a truck ""Designed to be Versatile for Work and Play,"" the Ranchero offered both practicality and performance. A variety of engine options were available in 1967 from an economical Inline 6 to a roaring 390, and a 4 speed manual was available on the V8 engines as well. Additionally, the 1967 Rancheros were more luxurious with regards to trim and options than the standard work truck. Like the '67 Fairlanes, the 1967 Ranchero would sport a pair of stacked headlights on each side of the one-piece aluminum grille. Chrome trim was also featured more prominently in the 1967 examples including around the windshield, on the drip rails, on the back of the cab, and around the edge of the pickup box. The interiors were also outfitted with padded dashes, sunvisors, arm rests, and numerous other creature comforts that folks became accustomed to in their passenger cars. In total, Ford produced only 5,858 standard Ranchero pickups which makes this particular example a pretty rare collector piece. Under the hood on this '67 Ranchero is an upgraded powerplant consisting of a 289 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with a single 2 barrel carburetor. The NOM 289 V8 is backed by a Cruise-O-Matic Automatic making this Ford pickup an easy truck for anybody to drive. This '67 Ranchero is equipped with a number of very nice options! With power steering, this Ford Ranchero is an absolute joy to drive and can be easily maneuvered in or out of tight spaces at the local drive-in or car show. Power front disc brakes makes bringing this sporty little pickup to a complete stop much easier, especially with all that extra horsepower under the hood. Exhaust exits the 289 V8 via a dual exhaust setup that gives this pickup truck a nice throaty sound. The wheels and tires have also been tastefully upgraded to a set of Michelin P215/60R15 radial tires wrapped around polished aluminum American Racing wheels in all four corners that give this 1967 Ford a nice period look and an even better ride going down the road. The steel box and pickup bed is in fantastic shape as well and looks like it's never been used. The exterior of this Ranchero has been beautifully refinished in Candy Apple Red accented by white stripe decals on the rocker panels. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this Ranchero is in fantastic condition as well, completing the exterior look of this truck. The interior on this Ford Ranchero is gorgeous! The original bench seat has been upgraded to a set of later-model black leather buckets seats that provide a bit more comfort and support than what was originally available. The steering wheel was upgraded to a slightly smaller woodgrain example that provides a bit more roominess to the driver while retaining a period-esqe look. The black vinyl door panels, padded dash, and center console are all in fantastic condition and retain the stock appearance of this truck. The dash is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, gasoline gauge, clock, and push-button AM radio. Whether you're buying your first classic pickup truck or you're adding to your existing blue oval collection, this 1967 Ford Ranchero would make an excellent choice.
