So this 4x4 has a clean look, right down to the undercarriage. But while this CJ is a looker, it also has all the right pieces to remind you that a premium Golden Eagle is just as much about looking chic as it is about being capable of handling any terrain. The Trans Am might have its screaming chicken on the hood, but that can\'t hold a patriotic candle to the bird that graces the front of a Golden Eagle Jeep. But there\'s much more to this than just graphics. The Golden Eagle was a top-of-the-line limited edition package on par with the Renegade, so this one pays proper tribute by giving you a ton of premium distinction. It starts with an upgrade to the glossy black paint. This was a labor-intensive process where the body was stripped down to the metal, sandblasted, and sealed with 2K epoxy primer inside and out. Then the black went on top and included five coats of clear. The result is a piano-like luster in the sunshine. It\'s the right color with the Golden Eagle graphics and stylish full pinstriping. But don\'t read into this thinking you\'ve found a CJ that\'s only into glamour muscles. The full presentation never wants to be too fancy that you would give up the off-road lifestyle. After all, that\'s why you have the Rough Country four-inch suspension lift, a full-size spare on a swing-away mount, and the Smittybilt 9500 XRC winch leading the way. And the full idea of both premium and capable comes together perfectly on the polished wheels with off-road-ready Kenda Klever AT tires. The newer full convertible top fits sung and looks good with the full black style. And the full soft door package means there are multiple options to have everything from fully buttoned-up to open to the world with a fully naked machine. This is upgraded in the right places, like the full set of Corbeau seats, including the high-back buckets up front. Other pieces, like the restored full gauges package with handy tach, enhance the classic style. Most pieces have a fresh feel except for the little things that remind you that you\'re in a true classic. So we like spotting original-style pieces like the odometer (the mileage is unconfirmed,) and the steering wheel. It gives you that unmistakable grip while letting you get in touch (literally) with the generations of enthusiasts that came before you. The engine bay continues this Jeep\'s full fresh style. The engine bay looks brand new because it nearly is! We have a receipt showing the newly rebuilt AMC 304 cubic-inch V8 motor installed in August 2021. It\'s built with the right pieces, like a large aluminum radiator, an HEI distributor, and Patriot headers feeding the dual exhaust. The four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control over it all. Power steering, power brakes, and front discs are good for any-time driving. And, of course, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case keeps this a true off-road Jeep. Because this was a frame-off restoration, they took the time to sandblast the frame, axles, and all other major metal. It was rebuilt with all the right new pieces, like the bolts, brake lines, hangars, shocks, steering stabilizer, and complete urethane bushings kit. So while this will ride like a true lifted CJ, you can feel the solid quality that this couldn\'t even deliver when it was brand new. The full restoration was said to take 400 hours to complete, and that was only a few years ago. So the superior results continue to speak for themselves.
