FOR SALE: 1957 Triumph TR3 $26,000 USD

Triumph Tr3 Manual

Interior Color: Red Exterior Color: Black Description: 1957 Triumph TR3 Roadster A classic British roadster is the ultimate way of getting your thrills, and Triumph TR3 is one of the prime examples of this sort of car. Despite a cute appearance, the car is one of the more sophisticated sports cars of its era. With multiple racing victories in the 50\'s and 60\'s, these cars retain a steady fan base and are still raced in competitions around the world. Dyer classics best describes this consignment as a Baby faced corner killer. And indeed, it was with more horsepower than the Porsche 356, and the first car to have optional 4-wheel disc brakes which were worked out in earlier racing experiences. Our example presents in beautiful black and has snazzy looking chrome, low side doors and a 1991cc engine. A great car to take out for a tool on a sunny day and carve out some curves! Put the top down and everything will be just cracking mate. Exterior With its bugeye sprite-esque looks having bullet style headlights tucked into the space between the front rounded English wheel shaped fenders and the hood, and a chromed tooth smiling grille below it certainly looks friendly upon first inspection. Those fenders with their top touch of chrome edging and class, frame black painted steel wheels and some small chromed center caps, wrapped in all black wall rubber. These take a dive downward and inward to the low door entries. On its way it sees a shiny window frame for the front windshield and dual rear-view mirrors on the tops of the fenders near to the headlights. Just aft of the low doors is a stainless-steel plate that forms to the front of the rear fender, which its round form rises upward then gracefully lowers for the rear quarters and frames the trunk deck. On each corner are small red dog nose shaped tail lights along with some chrome bezels round running lights. The gas filler is just behind the passenger cowl in the center, and on the back are dual vertical bar bumpers. The black paint has some scratches and a small area of satin black touchup on the lower passenger door. A side view is like looking at waves of the ocean breaking not one, not twice, but 3 times along the sides of this beautiful Triumph. Also, it\'s worth mentioning, a white convertible top in good condition that is just slightly soiled but has no apparent damage as it appears to have spent most of its life in the down position. Quite right! You\'re bloody well right! Interior A swing of the low-slung doors and we see nice red vinyl door panels with their crescent curved sills and chromed actuator and inclement weather side panel holders and a red rope pull, (we note the side curtains are in the trunk!). Red leather covers low back bomber buckets which have horizontal tuck and roll inserts and smooth bolsters and some white piping for the edges. These chairs are shown to have aged nicely and are also slightly soiled. Behind the buckets is a red carpeted storage space. On the hump is a cup looking shape which is housing the shift lever. As we move to the dash front a red leather with a padded rolled over red dash topper is showing nicely. Several round gauges, including two larger ones are in front of the aged banjo styled wheel. Also a smattering of knobs and pulls and the ignition is within this panel. A glove box and a chrome Jesus bar are in front of the passenger seat. Red clean carpeting covers the floors and is showing in good condition. A nifty feature is a center dash mounted rear view mirror. I say! Drivetrain Under the hood in the fully restored engine bay sits a 1991cc inline 4-cylinder engine. This is being fed by 2 SU H6 carburetors and a 4-speed manual transmission is on back with a 3.70 final drive to put power to the ground. Looking just bonny under this bonnet. Blimey! Undercarriage Some patina and very light surface rust, but the black X framing holds solid floor pans and rockers. Independent coil spring suspension in front and leaf springs for the ba

FOR SALE: 1962 Triumph TR3B $32,900 USD

Triumph Tr3b Manual

Engine: 1991cc Inline 4 Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Black Vinyl Exterior Color: Signal Red Description: When the Triumph TR3 debuted in 1955, Triumph intended to update the previous TR2 but also bring the driving experience and styling into the second half of the 1950s! The car debuted with the TR2s 1991cc Inline 4-cylinder motor that made 95 horsepower, plenty for a car that weighed just over 2,000 pounds. In 1957, the TR3A was launched, further improving the car by incorporating a wider front grille and front disc brakes, becoming the first production car to feature them as standard equipment! The TR3B was a special short production in response to dealers concerned that the new look of the soon to be unveiled TR4 would not catch on. Only 530 of these TR3B\'s with the TSF chassis designation were made that had the original TR3 engine before they made the switch to the TR4\'s increased displacement. We are very excited to offer this 1962 Triumph TR3B convertible refinished in proper Signal Red exterior with a Black top and Black vinyl interior with white accent piping. Powering this sporty roadster is its 2.0L Inline 4-cylinder dual carbureted engine producing 95 horsepower mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include folding convertible top with window curtains, convertible boot cover, Jaeger and Lucas instrumentation, dual fender-mounted side mirrors, ventilation control, chrome bumpers, and 15 steel wheels with triumph center caps wrapped in Nexen tires measuring 165/80R15. Showing 77,710 miles on the odometer, this Triumph is a great example that showcases the last year of this body style as the TR4 would change the entire appearance with straighter body lines and absence of the traditional English fenders. Previously titled and stored in Ohio where it was restored in 2014-2015 with many receipts of the process down to the nuts and bolts. During its thorough restoration, this TR3 received new exterior paint, vinyl interior, chrome bumpers, fender mirrors, convertible curtain set, exterior emblems, headlamp assembly, rear leaf springs, shocks, electric fuel pump, clutch, master cylinder, new SU carburetors and lots of other small parts and pieces to bring this Triumph back to life. Since its arrival at our museum, we have continued to care for this TR3B and have replaced the thermostat, installed an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan, water temperature gauge, tuned the carburetors, new fuel filter & new spark plugs, changed the oil & filter, and installed 2 new tie rod ends with front end alignment. This is a solid driving sports car that would be perfect for any British import enthusiasts and classic car collector alike. Thank you for your interest and please contact us with any additional questions or schedule a time to come visit our showroom and see this among many other cars up close and personal!

FOR SALE: 1964 Triumph TR4 $29,900 USD

Triumph Tr4 Manual

Engine: 2138cc Inline 4 Transmission: Manual Interior Color: Blue Vinyl Exterior Color: Wedgewood Blue Description: The Triumph TR4 is an ideal sports car that was produced from 1961 to 1965 that resided on the same chassis as its TR3 predecessor but had quite a modern design body makeover done by Michelotti. Carrying over the same tried and true engine from the TR2 & TR3, these new Triumph TR4s took it one step further and increased the bore size of the engine which added a nice jump in horsepower. Not stopping at just added power, the new TR4 also showcased roll up windows in place of side-curtains, a wider front and rear track, rack & pinion steering and full synchromesh on all forward gears. This sporty driver was not just for hugging the corners on the public roadways, but also saw some success on the racetracks and even continues to do so as a TR4 won a SCCA class championship in 1991! We are excited to offer this 1964 Triumph TR4 convertible finished in original factory color Wedgewood Blue exterior paint with a black vinyl top and midnight blue vinyl interior with white piping around the seats. Powering this British sports car is an 2138cc inline 4-cylinder with dual SU carburetors that produces a stout 100 horsepower and 127lbs-ft of torque and is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This TR4 features roll up windows, folding top, power front disc brakes, chrome bumpers, windshield washer, Motorola transistor radio, Jaeger and Lucas gauges, heater & ventilation controls, 15 steel wheels with hub caps wrapped in GT radial tires measuring 185/55R15 and a spare tire. Previously titled in North Carolina, this Triumph was purchased in July of 1970 by a Tennessee owner who would maintain it and drive sparingly for over 50 years until it would join us here at the museum in late 2022. This TR4 comes with its original owner\'s handbook and recent receipts of repairs. In 2019, the previous owner installed a new fan belt, fan blade, drain plug, bonnet release kit, wizard alloy radiator, battery box liner, and a radiator hose set all done by the Triumph specialists at the Roadster Factory in Springfield, TN. It would rest in the garage again until 2022 when a mechanic friend of the previous owner continued efforts on his TR4 by replacing brake hoses, front brake calipers, brake master cylinder, timing chain, water pump, water temp sending unit and the thermostat. Sadly, after his passing it would be acquired by our museum, and we would make the final improvements to make this sportster the fine driving machine it is today. Our service department rebuilt the starter, replaced the starter solenoid, ignition wire set, spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor, point & condenser set, fuel pump & fuel sending unit, replaced the transmission and differential fluids, replaced door & trunk hinge gaskets, interior control knobs, taillight assembly, control arm bushings, and upper ball joints. This Triumph has been wonderfully cared for and is in great shape to cruise around and enjoy with the top down. A very original TR4 that will have import enthusiasts excited and anyone who\'s looking for a sporty ride will be quick to get inside. Thank you for your interest and please contact us directly or schedule a visit to our showroom for a closer look.

Drive-Ability She fired right up and a totally fun drive for this TR aficionado. Nothing better than the throaty roar of a 4 banger exhaust accelerating through the gears smoothly, top down, and carving corners while doing it. Good solid braking and just a great looking and driving classic British sports car. This car has been struck a bit by the prince of darkness, (Lucas Electrics), as the heater blower, (the consignor states the heater does work), turn signals and wipers are all non functional. With a few faults at the seams on the body, and the paint which is showing some wear, the car still totally bleeds class. With its undulating design and profile, those low doors, long hood and bugeye headlights it just bleeds British. Overall looks great and performs with a smile on the grille. We give you the low door TR3 from 1957. Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile s
