FOR SALE: 1967 Chevrolet Malibu $51,900 USD

Chevrolet Malibu Manual

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Madeira Maroon Description: 1967 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle SS396 The Chevrolet Motor Division began working on an intermediate size automobile in 1960-1961 with delivery to dealers to begin in September 1963. The name of that car was the Corselle.  The Corselle design team was sworn to secrecy about this project, and all advertising documents were highly protected by Chevrolet.  No Corselle information could even be leaked to the media. For consignment, a 1967 Malibu in SS396 Chevelle trim.  This beauty is basically a street legal race car.  It has been tubbed out on the rear to accommodate larger rear tires, has a beautiful shade of Madeira Maroon paint, fa ull mostly original interior, and a performance engine and transmission underneath its unassuming cowl induction hood.  A frame off restoration was performed prior to our consignor purchasing the car in 2005 and the rest, as they say, is history. ExteriorThis sweet SS wears clean sheet metal which is under a nicely applied shade of Madeira Maroon paint color change that is retaining its luster and then some.  Also keeping it original are the front grille and bumpers which are very well kept and shiny with no rust or dimpling.  Overall simplicity and certainly very conservatively adorned with a mere front wheel arch and rocker trim in stainless and some snappy chromed window surrounds.  This car otherwise looks like the true conservative and not overdone.  The gaps are nearly perfect for the steel and the rear wrap around gridded taillights with the black roll panel badged with SS396 is just sugar on the maroon lollipop.  A low profile rear facing hood scoop in on and I can\'t help but falling in love with the small flying buttress B-pillared roof.  Slightly smoked glass all around adds to the mystique and 15-inch polished to the nines Weld Prostar wheels are on corners and are wrapped in skinny 28x7.50-15\'s up front and massive 33x21.50-15\'s tires in back all courtesy of Mickey Thompson. Interior With a swing of the doors and you are getting a coming attraction preview of what wonders never cease to amaze you inside. The door panels are black vinyl and have horizontal stitched tuck and roll panels, some chrome trimmings, and are near perfection.  Inside, low back buckets with more tuck and roll inserts and smooth larger supporting bolsters flank the Hurst shifter equipped hump and the rear bench is similar pattern only in long form with horizontal tuck and roll, and all pristine.  All this floats in beautiful black carpeting and to keep things safe and secure a custom black painted 8-point roll bar has been added.  Up front, the dash is in its original layout with the upper chrome trimmed black strip which houses the lights, ignition, and wipers being on top of a custom AutoMeter silver face gauge equipped shiny black dash front.  Just below to the left are a line of toggles for lights, the electric cooling fan and the fuel pump and to the driver\'s right we note an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo...but in a car like this the only music to listen to is the sound of the big V8 under the hood.  A smaller rally steering wheel fronts this new glowing dash and shows nearly no wear what-so-ever.  On top is a tight black headliner and a shout out to the trunk which has been treated to a fresh coating of paint and holds the battery, fuel cell and amp for the stereo. Drivetrain A consignor-stated 396ci V8 resides under the cowl induction hood.  For some extra giddyup a pair of GMPP aluminum heads have been bolted on along with a GM aluminum intake manifold and Holley 4-barrel carburetor.  Perched high atop this big mill is a dual snorkel ram air\' equipped air cleaning assembly with twin ducting running down and out of the engine bay.  A Tremec 5-speed manual transmission with a blowproof bellhousing is attached to the back of this fabulous mill.  A shortened Ford 9 axle is out back to finish things off.  Light em up! Undercarriage All painted and structurally sound under here with added bracin

FOR SALE: 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu $92,000 USD

Chevrolet Chevelle malibu Manual

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Marina Blue Description: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS396 Like the Tri-Five Chevys that came before it, the Chevelle/Malibu is one of those cars GM aced right out of the gate and continued to perfect.  Eventually, the marque became one of the strongest brands in automotive history; and at one point, with a full list of body styles, options, trim grades, color combinations, and engines which ranged from mild to outrageous, literally embodied the \'custom built\' nature that defines the muscle car era. Looking like it is fresh out of the restoration shop, this 1967 Malibu has had an engine swap for the better, now upgraded to 1966 427ci V8 and a circa 1964/65 Muncie transmission.  While we dont know exactly how long ago the car was restored, we can say it literally looks like it was yesterday and comes with a thumb drive of the build.  Weld wheels, staggered tires, near perfect bucket seat interior, and power steering, front disc brakes and carries the all important 138 VIN, denoting the SS moniker.  Definitely one of the highlight cars to take in and consider for the serious Malibu fanatic, right here in the Hallowed former mall Halls of Classic Auto Mall. Exterior This sweet SS wears clean sheet metal which is under a befitting color change to Marina Blue paint retaining its luster and then some with only a slight evidence of body filler and a few notable runs in the clear coat.  Also, the correct crossed flags SS396 badging, the shiny front grille and bumpers which are very well kept with no rust or dimpling.  The sides exude overall simplicity and certainly are very conservatively adorned with mere 396 Turbo Jet crossed flags, Super Sport moniker badging, and some snappy chromed window surrounds, this car otherwise looks like the true conservative.  Between the front fenders is the twin domed and trimmed SS hood and overall the body is not overdone, gaps are nearly perfect for the steel and the canted inward tail lights with the blue roll panel badged with Chevelle script and SS396 badging is just icing on the Marina Blue cake.  Lest I forget to mention the staggered blackwall rubber with the polished 15-inch Weld ProStar wheels that gleam with an extra added air of muscle. Interior With a swing of the doors you are getting a coming attraction preview of what wonders never cease to amaze you inside.  The door panels are black vinyl, and have horizontal stitched panels, some chrome trimmings and are near perfection with the padded armrest and bright actuators.  Inside, low back buckets with more tuck and roll inserts and smooth bolsters and some thin chrome trim surrounding the tubs, are stars in this interior sea of black.  The rear bench has a similar pattern only in long form and is pristine.  All this floats in beautiful black carpeting, and on either side of a 1966 styled center console.  This houses a glovebox, and a tall chromed ball top, long armed Hurst shift lever and a centralized clock.  The dash is all original with the strip which houses the lights, ignition, and wipers being on the top of the gauge cluster.  A factory correct knee-knocker tachometer is down low to the right and the driver\'s wood rimmed wheel is original and shows nearly no wear what-so-ever.  Up high is a very tight black headliner.  A shout out to the trunk which has been completely relined with a fresh coat of gray trunk spray and provides ample room for all the trophies you will win. Drivetrain Within the completely restored black engine bay presenting with all non corroded bolt ons and supple hoses and wiring resides a 1966 427ci V8 presenting in non-traditional Marina Blue.  It also has some bling with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a 4-barrel carburetor atop this healthy mill.  Dressing up this monster big block are Marina Blue Chevrolet badged valve covers, a polished air cleaner assembly and various chrome dress ups.  A Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission circa 1964/65 is strapped to the back and sends power back to a CI stamp
