FOR SALE: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS $75,000 USD

Chevrolet Chevelle Automatic

Interior Color: White Exterior Color: Black Description: Often considered the Holy Grail of American muscle cars, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is about as American as baseball and apple pie. And if you\'re in the market for some vintage Detroit steel that\'s stylish, powerful, and fun all at once, then this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle might be just what you\'re looking for. This is a very special car indeed, a believed-original Super Sport Chevelle (do not have build sheet) that packs a massive powerplant under the hood and connects it with a legendary bodystyle that screams performance. Sitting inside the dressed engine compartment is a behemoth 502 C.I. big-block V8, said to be putting out northwards of 502 fire-breathing horsepower! All those horses have to breathe, so that engine is hooked to a new 750 CFM 4-barrel carburetor that allows it to really scream. Other highlights inside the engine bay include a manual valve body, Hooker headers, an aluminum radiator for optimal cooling and a serpentine belt system! Torque is stomped into the pavement through a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, which shifts nice and smooth. The exterior\'s laser straight, curvy bodylines are all dressed up in a gloss black paintjob that reflects like a mirror in the sun with a gorgeous finish. Stunning contrasting white rally stripes run the length of the car, from the working Cowl Induction hood all the way to the rear deck. The undercarriage of the car is very solid, with strong floors, frame rails, trunk floors, and door jambs. Opening the twin doors to the show-quality interior reveals gorgeous white vinyl trim adorning the comfy bucket seats, accompanied by a full center console and matching horseshoe shifter! Sitting inside the factory SS dashboard is a working 6000RPM tachometer and a clock as well as an original working AM/FM pushbutton radio! This gleaming \'70 Chevelle is packed with other options too, including power steering, power brakes, a positraction rear axle with 4.10:1 gearing, a tilt steering wheel, custom 502 valve covers and engine decals, dual chrome mirrors, under-dash aux. gauges, and a seriously-aggressive sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides on a set of attention-grabbing 15 SS chrome wheels over Micky Thompson RWL tires for a factory-fresh, period-correct look that\'s tough to beat! Turn the key and this Chevelle\'s 502 V8 starts right up, running and driving down the road beautifully. Combining the best of factory-fresh styling and killer performance, this \'70Chevelle really is the real deal. This is your chance to own a true American icon, the best of the muscle car era. Don\'t let it pass you by! FOR SALE: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu $74,900 USD

Chevrolet Chevelle malibu Automatic

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Cranberry Red Description: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS 454 Tribute  Let\'s break it down: 1) Replica: A car made to copy the original using a donor car, (another platform other than the original.  2) Tribute car: It\'s an original car, but meant to copy one particular or a series of cars in history. For consignment, a TRIBUTE 454 SS Chevy Malibu from 1970.  Considered the IT year for the SS,  This example sports Dakota Digital gauges, a new SS dashing pad, and an engine rebuild less than 3,000 miles ago.  454 cubes and plenty of muscle under and outside of the hood with its sleek steel rust free panels and Magnum 500 wheels.  Drop the hanky and keep an eye on your rear view mirror to watch the competition go off in the distance. Exterior A beautifully applied Cranberry Red respray covers the original Gobi Beige from the factory.  Close inspection shows a nicely done paint job, and no rust or eruptions in the paint are seen anywhere.  Steel panels are straight, and gaps are well minded.  Black decal SS wide track stripes race from front to back on this car as well as some stainless steel rocker trimmings and wheel well surrounds.  SS chromed badging is all clean and clear, door handles show in very nice condition, as do the bumpers.  Window surrounds and drip moldings are very nice, as is the rocker trim.  Gotta love the coke bottle design and the gently sloping rear B pillar as it meets the trunk.  This is typically a rust problem area in these Malibus, but this one has that covered on spades!  15-inch Magnum 500 wheels are wrapped in BFG Raised white letter Radial T/A\'s showing in 225/70R15\'s in front, and 255/60R154\'s in back.  As the ads of the day said Putting you first, keeps us first. Interior Looking mostly original, we see door panels that are nice and straight vinyl patterns in black.  Noted if you care, the top of the bowtie is in a thin chrome trim on the panels framing the tuck and roll portion of the door panels.  Front buckets are covered in vinyl as well, and have triangulated mesh tuck roll, and smooth black vinyl which makes for an interesting and sporty design.  The seats were commonly known as Strato bucket seats.  These buckets have been re-padded with new foam. The rear bench is original and presents in the same pattern as the front buckets.  Carpeting appears like new in black and is covered with SS badged carpeted floor mats.  Fronting the seating area is a very kewl dash which is now adorned with Dakota Digital gauges that have a red glow when lights are turned on.  Other smaller circular round inserts are present as is what appears to be an aftermarket classic auto sound AM/FM radio that also has bluetooth capabilities.  Also seen is a Vintage Air heat and air conditioning control panel.  A rally style SS plastic with stainless steel rod inlay steering wheel is atop the original steering column.  The gearshift is like the throttle on a 747, dripping with aircraft nuance and in a nifty factory console.  All modern and yet retaining the 70\'s looks...Neato. Drivetrain Definitely the money shot on this car as we open the hood, a completely restored engine bay with a rebuilt and non-original 454ci red/orange block V8.  It is sucking copious amounts of fossils and air through a 4-barrel carburetor.  A 700R4 transmission in 4-speed automatic form is behind the powerful mill, and in back, GM 10-bolt with 2.73 geared rear is on to spin the rear tires.  Headers are also present and accounted for as is a Flowmaster exhaust system taking over from the headers. Undercarriage All original with some factory spray rustproofing, which has done its job, as only surface rust is present in the seams and it is minor.  Also, no rust and just new rubber weather stripping is noted on the bottom of the doors.  The interior of the trunk is very clean and definitely a texture spray has been shot on as also a black carpet has been installed.  Coil springs with independent suspension up front, and coil springs with 4 link suspensio

FOR SALE: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle $99,000 USD

Chevrolet Chevelle Automatic

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Classic White Description: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS If you\'re confused as to why people refer to Chevelles and Malibus as the same car, it\'s because Malibu was a trim level of the Chevelle from 1964 to 1977. The Malibu wasn\'t a separate model until 1978. No Chevelles originally had a woodgrain console. But if you see one with a woodgrain console now, it\'s likely from a Monte Carlo. There was a version of the Chevelle only available in Canada that had a slightly different grille and trim. It was called the Beaumont. For consignment, a really excellent adventure into a restoration that was full off and full-on quality finished. A simple stunner of an interior, a straight and true exterior with tasteful paint, and a real runner under that hood in the form of a 454ci LS5 V8 beauty with high scores during judging and a numbers matching correct drivetrain. Exterior For 1970, the face lifted Chevelle moved an impressive 634K units. Not only did that high-profile success earn GM big money, it also solidified the nameplate as part of Chevy\'s oft romanticized \'golden era\'. At the front of this coupe, a split grille hangs a prominent SS emblem between a small CHEVELLE script, stainless-trimmed T3 headlights and an original re-chromed bumper. Opposite that bumper, a cowl induction hood leads the eye to fresh glass that\'s seated in original stainless frames. At the base of those frames, chrome door handles, a chrome driver\'s mirror and white-tinged SS454 badges complement correct wheel trim. And at the back of the car, a second original, chromed bumper hangs a standard Super Sport inlay. All bathed in near perfect Classic White and wide black stripes racing up the middle of the hood and trunk lid. Topping off the bottom of this car are 14-inch Magnum 500 SS center badged wheels all wrapped in Firestone Wide Ovals on all 4 corners. Interior Its correct combination of bench and bucket seats that are firm to the touch, encased in black vinyl, original belts, and high backs. In front of those seats, a straight Super Sport dash frames new inserted OEM gauges clean and pristine provide all the telemetry you\'ll need for those hot laps. Below that dash, black carpet floats an original, re-chromed shifter that would make an airline pilot proud, and this is inside a correct console and color-keyed floor mats with red, white and blue Heartbeat of America stitching. At the sides of that carpet, door panels center classy stainless trim and requisite SS emblems on bright handles and supple, comfortable armrests. In front of the driver the steering wheel laps a black column. And behind the passengers, the car\'s fully restored trunk is finished with a correct jack and full-size spare tire. Headliner is nice and tight and is also black, and where the shoulder belts hang. Drivetrain A great looking original and numbers matching orange blocked 454ci LS5 V8 graces a very clean and restored engine bay. Chromed valve covers, orange heads, clean exhaust manifolds, and a chromed air cleaner cover add to the mechanical jewelry, and it just goes on and on with soft supple hoses and clean wiring. A single correct Rochester Quadrajet 4bbl carb is atop, and a correct CS Hydramatic tagged TH400 in on the back but is missing its partial VIN stamp. A 12-bolt 3.31 posi rear is on the way back. Undercarriage Clean and rust free nearly as close to showroom as you can get, we have F41 independent coil springs up front, and a 4 link with coil springs on the rear. Power disc brakes upfront, and power drums on the rear, and dual exhaust with Turbo mufflers added can be seen. The suspension looks like almost new, as does the floor pans, and frame. Drive-Ability As usual with these early 1970\'s Chevrolet muscle cars, our spec writer and myself clamor to drive these, so we flipped a coin and it landed on its side, so we both drove it! (One of the many bennies working at CAM). Anyway, she fired right up with a roar, we sped off to the test track and there we

FOR SALE: 1970 Chevrolet Malibu $26,900 USD

Chevrolet Malibu Automatic

Interior Color: Black Exterior Color: Shadow Gray Description: 1970 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Hardtop Grocery Getter: A compact, sub-compact or midsize coupe, sedan, hatchback or station wagon with a generous amount of trunk/hatch space and a back seat that usually folds down, powered by an unimpressive yet reliable and reasonably economical 4 or 6 cylinder engine.  The idea is that such a vehicle is uninspiring to drive, but the trunk space at least makes it good for getting groceries.  Generally speaking, a bigger, (ie; V6), engine or an engine that is turbo or supercharged, along with bigger sway bars and stiffer suspension are necessary to turn a grocery getter into either a sports sedan or a sports coupe.  Without these upgrades, a sporty-looking compact or subcompact coupe is considered just a grocery getter. For consignment, certainly not a muscle car inspiring but actually refreshing.  A 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu hardtop is in our midst and I used the above paragraph not to berate or belittle this vehicle.  In fact I did it because in the expanses of our halls we have seen copious amounts of Chevelles and they all have souped up power plants wide tires, racing stripes and come with badges that sound impressive, (SS396, SS454, SS whatever), but honestly they become ubiquitous.  Here we have a survivor that is nothing of the others and it is truly refreshing.  Read On! Exterior For 1970, the face lifted Chevelle moved an impressive 634,000 units.  Not only did that high-profile success earn GM big money, it also solidified the nameplate as part of Chevy\'s oft romanticized \'golden era\'.  At the front of this hardtop, a split grille hangs a bowtie badge between dual stainless-trimmed  headlights and a chromed bumper.  Opposite that bumper, a slightly creased in the center and mostly flat hood, all bathed in Shadow Gray leads the eye to fresh glass that\'s seated in original stainless frames.  A note about this paint, as it is showing some areas of cracking and crazing, rust formations mostly on the bottoms of this car, and where inserts into the body reside, edge rust.  At the base of those frames, chrome door handles, a chrome driver\'s mirror and an edge trimming that starts on the top of the 307 and Malibu badged front quarter, and runs to the back of the rear glass on the sills.  Nice back edges of the B pillars gently roll downward to the trunk deck housing the rear glass on the way, and the lid rolls into the rear bumper.  The bumper has a single horizontal rectangular tail light inset within it and a Chevelle badge on the lid passengers edge.  14-inch factory aluminum spun caps are centering Hankook black wall rubber front the 46th week of 2015.  Now that\'s an original car! Interior The door panels are greeting me with black vinyl and a central panel where the bowtie shape with tuck and roll, and then smooth uppers and lowers.  A split back bench seats offer up the sitting area and these have some light tuck and roll broadcloth inserts in charcoal gray and black vinyl busters.  The driver\'s side is showing some cracking on the bolsters.  Low headrests are also on top.  A rear bench matches the front.  In front of those seats is a straight pure utilitarian GM dash in behind the factory wheel.  No tachometer, no oil pressure gauge, just a speedo, a few pulls and an AM radio.  Power steering and AC are also installed in this original.  Below that dash, is simple black carpeting.  Above is a black headliner looking showroom.  Behind the passengers, is an original speckle painted trunk with a vinyl mat covering showing some water damage and holes.  The spare tire and jack setup is all there too.  Throw the groceries in and put the kids in back and ride home in factory style.   Drivetrain As we lift the hood we see some surface rust on the underside and in the engine bay.  It\'s the original 307ci L14 V8.  It too has surface rust and some grease and remains original and unrestored save for what appears to be a new air cleaner covering and alternator.  A single 2-
